Hilarious Kung Fu Mahjong

Don’t you think the movie title itself sounds too much like Kung Fu Hustle? Now, take a look at the leading actors and actresses: Yuen Wah (the landlord in Kung Fu Hustle) and Yuen Qiu and (the landlady in Kung Fu Hustle). Haha, a knock-off from Kung Fu Hustle. Anyway, to add to the cast, Wong Jing the movie maker, also calls upon TVB’s famous star Roger Kwok - best known for his brilliant performance in the TVB drama Square Pegs.
Yuen Wah plays Chi Mo Sai who is a compulsive gambler. While trying to get away from some loan sharks, Mo Sai runs into Ah Wong (Roger Kwok), a waiter at a local restaurant who has the uncanny ability to remember where each mahjong tile is on the table at all times. Mo Sai convinces Ah Wong to team up with him for some gambling action. They won big money in the casions of Macau and this catches the attention of the biggest bad guy Tin Kau Gor (Wong Jing).
Mo Sai helps Ah Wong in courting the pretty Cheryl (Theresa Fu of Cookies). Unfortunately, Cheryl is the mistress of Tin Kau Gor. Ah Wong gets smacked in the head and loses his memory. Ah Wong’s boss, Auntie Fei (Yuen Qiu) helps Ah Wong to recovery using “Mahjong Shock Therapy” and later seeks revenge against Tin Gau Gor in the Asian Mahjong Competition.
This movie is really hilarious and funny, just like Wong Jing’s other films. Probably he is running out of ideas; you have seem most of the things in this film in other films, such as Kung Fu Hustle (the landlord and the landlady), God of Gambers (Ko Chun loses his memory), Kill Bill (Uma Thurman’s dress), etc. Anyway, although this film will not become one of the blockbusters, it will still make your day!

errr, i watched the first half but couldnt continue the second half coz i find the story line and the way they put out their acting skills…..maybe it’s akin to kung fu hustle, so i feel too cetak rompak…..din continue after that..
but after reading your comment, feel like watching again…
I agree with you that their acting skills are moderate and nothing to shout about. The story line is simple also. These are all the same with Wong Jing’s movies, don’t think this movie is different from his previous ones.
The best part about this movie is that it is hilarious; a lot of laughing and joy for 1.5 hours.
this movie sucks and it suit the no brain people to watch…..roger kwok handsome the rest sucks , fucks & chibai
