Google Blog Search Launched
Sep 15th, 2005 by Neo
Since Google gone public, they have released several new products - GoogleTalk for example. The latest is Google Blog Search.
Google Blog Search is as simple as Google.com - the ever popular search engine. Just a simple search box. If you clicked on the “Advanced Blog Search” link, you get more options on the search, such as limiting number of search results, search by author, search posts within certain dates, search posts written in certain languages and safesearch.
This tool looks like a very good beginning. I am not very sure how it compares to existing more established blog search engines such as Technorati and IceRocket because I am still very new in blogsphere and have not used much Technorati. Anyway, a quick look at Technorati seems like they have more advanced features such as blog rankings, profiles, and tagging.

I did a quick search for my own blog on Google Blog Search. Searching for “hot screensaver”, my blog came out at position number 4. Put in a dash (as in the domain name) and obviously my blog came up top of the list. Tried searching “screensaver”, and it is no where to be seen, apart from appearing in the Related Blogs list.
