Nissan Cefiro for Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant
Oct 29th, 2005 by Neo
What a masterpiece. Nissan Cefiro V6. Costs RM150k plus.

This magnificent masterpiece belongs to the newly crowned Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2005, Miss Kong Pooi Yee. Apart from the title, her prize value totaled to more than RM250 thousand, including a RM150 thousand brand new Nissan Cefiro V6 and RM30 thousand cash. This Perakian young lass surely looked glamorous and deserved the title.

Left: The winner of the night. Miss Kong Pooi Yee. Right: The first runner up, Miss Lim Pey Chi.
Hmm… the photo above may be a bit mis-leading. The first runner up looks much fairer and prettier. But on TV, I believe Miss Kong looked much better than in the photo, and it truely was a worthy win for her.
Now, this photo shows the second runner up, Miss Lim Yen Keun who looked gorgeous and I have actually picked her as my favorite in my post on the finalists. I still think she looked at least at par with the other winners, if not prettier; but probably she fall short in the Q&A session where she sort of gave a not-so-convincing answer to the hosts’ question.
Lynn Lim Pey Yeng who was the first runner-up of the Miss Astro Chinese International 2000 was the host for the pageant show, apart from Sheren Tang Shui Man and Vincent Kwok. Vincent Kwok is a talented host, and famous actor, script-writer and director. Sheren Tang is a talented TVB actress who has appeared in many drama series.

I still think Lim Yen Keun is the best looking.
Yeah right! Lim Yen Keun is the best looking one… lol! All people mis-leaded…
both r gorgeous but if i had to choose i choose the runner-up
but i think the Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant is not only judged by their look; their intelligence and confidence are important lor..the make up at the night also an important point…
all 3 of them are very beautiful! (of course, if not how to win. silly me). hard to choose between the 3 but if i have to, i prefer the 2nd runner up.
all 3 look kind of pretty sweet wholesome look. i like this look. i don’t like those pretty sexy (or sultry!) look.
Haha, looks like I, errr I mean the second runner up has a lot of supporter. But too bad, too late already, you all should go to support her yesterday evening.
But anyway, as Lucia said, all 3 of them are beautiful. The winner definitely looks much prettier than in the photo.
oh my mistake. actually i meant the 2nd place winner (not the 2nd runner up) therefore it is the 1st runner up, not the 2nd runner up.

pooi yee is pretty, but not tht much… i prefer 2nd runner up…. izzit? but pooi yee well present in tht nite.. izzit? anyway, congaturation to 2005 miss astro kong pooi yee!!!
Lim Yen Keun is not only the best looking girl, she is actually above average.
Pooi Yee looks gorgeous and calm when comes to answering part in the final. I think she deserves her crown. Yen is the prettiest, perhaps is her performance in the last answering part which pull her down to 2nd runner up.
If Lim Yen Keun answered the question well, I think she would have been the title winner.
Both look very nice, but face the facts.Malaysian Chinese girls can only make it locally, because of all the sponsors being Chinese businesses. They have to satisfy them.Ever heard of any typical Chinese girl who made it at International levels.Well….
