iPower $2.95 Domain Name
Nov 23rd, 2005 by Neo
Yahoo! Small Business started offering $2.99 domain names since some time ago. Now, if you thought that’s still a little too expensive and domain names should be made available at a lower price, then consider iPower’s offering.
iPower is offering new domain name registrations at $2.95 per year. Isn’t this cheaper than Yahoo’s? Haha, you bet. This offer is only valid for new registrations only. The $2.95 price is only for the first year and will renew at $8.25 second year onwards.
You get the following fetuares with every domain purchase:
- Free parked page
- Free domain forwarding
- Free email forwarding
- Absolute DNS control
- Domain locking
- Free registration change
You know what’s missing from the list? They should put in free web hosting
I have not personally tried iPower’s services, but I have heard of them a lot and believe they are quite a reputable company in this industry. You can certainly give them a try, and transfer to GoDaddy or Yahoo on the 2nd year.

wow 2nd year onwards $8.25

I am with yahoo’s $1.99 and registered for 10 years
Still, I prefer Yahoo domain. I don’t know who is iPower.
Hisyam, 10 years. For that you get some discounts, right?
EngLee, last time I tried to register with Yahoo, but somehow the registration didn’t go through successfully… can’t remember why. Since then, I am stuck with GoDaddy
I also have a domain at GoDaddy. Then only I heard about Yahoo domain promotion. I registered another one at Yahoo. No point to pay more at GoDaddy since they are providing the same services.
yup, around usd 10 i think, can’t remember
I usually register my domain names with godaddy.com. It used to be one of the cheapest but now I guess I might try out Yahoo’s service.
Those who always hanging around webmaster forum would know who is iPower
Quite a big company as well… Anyway, I still stick with namecheap
Second option will be domainsite(?) for cheap domain !
I use ipowerweb and I love them. they don’t offer all the services midphase offers but they are still great.
I’ve been hosting with Ipowerweb for years now. I have only good service. I read all these articles that they are such a bad host and this is NOT true. I have over 300 domain names and shared hosting account with Ipowerweb also two awesome fast dedicated servers. They just upgraded their servers too.
I strongly recommend Ipowerweb for web design, web hosting, domain names, search engine optimization, eCommerce. They are good for everything they do. I will never change hosting companies and I will continue to use Ipowerweb and never change. I’ve had the pleasure working with Sales manager James Murphy and Search Engine Optimization specialist Steve Di Fabio on great service and massive website visits. Ipowerweb ranked my website in Google under the keywords I wanted and with in two weeks I was receiving phone calls. I have the pleasure of my own dedicated rep, Steve Di Fabio, that takes care of all my needs with no hold time at all and is extremely fast at what he does and gives the best customer service. The perl and mysql version are too old to support unicode in Ipowerweb.
