Very Creative Red Packets Design
Feb 5th, 2006 by Neo
In my previous post Lion Dance Pictures and Video, I talked about Lion Dance. Another tradition of Chinese during this festive season is to give and receive red packets, also known as “Ang Pow”, “Hung Bao”, and “Lai Si” in Cantonese.
They are considered extremely auspicious to receive as a gift (because they contain money? haha).
Myself like many of you have collected some red packets from friends and relatives. Some of the red packets’ design are really creative. Check some pictures below.

Red packets of various design and sizes. They are now empty because I have emptied the contents
If you think the above are nice, now check out these two.

Cute Hello Kitty on the auspicious pineapple, and the Mickey Mouse red packets. Both of them have a little pop-up fold for holding the $$$.
If you think these two are really cute, now check out these videos!
(Videos have been uploaded to youtube and are being processed. If you didn’t see them above, please check back in a little while)
Yes, the Hello Kitty and the Mickey Mouse are ALIVE! They animate!
Cute not?
