Although I like seeing SPAMS coming from my blog simply because it means that my blog is being noticed. However, of course I hate moderating spam comments. Each day I may receive about 20 to 40 spam comments, and this number has been increasing greatly for the past few days.

Let’s take a look what Wordpress.org has to offer to fight against spams on the Plugins/Spam Tools section. Some of the more popular plugins in this caretory that a lot of bloggers are using are Akismet, Bad Behavior, and Spam Karma 2.
I however is not too sure which one, or ones to install. What do you think?

Che-Cheh, should not be. You are getting spams shows that your blog is getting noticed and popular. Spammers like popular blogs so that their spam is being read by more people. It also shows that your blog is not protected with anti-spam measures, or the measure you are using is not effective.
I have installed the Bad Behaviour plugin yesterday. After that I think the spams are very much reduced to zero! Cross fingers. Hope the spams will never come back!
You should try WP2.0’s Akismet plugin.

I started getting spam attacked right after I moved servers. I’m getting abt 3 spams for most of my old posts and abt 1-2 in the newer ones. I never used to get it and if attention is making this happen, I’m beginning to NOT Like it.
I am currently having Spam Karma 2 - Reloaded + Bad Behaviour + Akismet and STILL those critters are coming after me!!!! BUT I do have a msg where Spam Karma 2 is…it says :
The movie sucked. The plugin does not. Go to Manage >> Spam Karma 2 to configure. *** Requires Wordpress 1.5.1 to function correctly ***
Am I suppose to do something here??
