Chap Goh Meh – McDonalds – Popular Bookstore – Kemaman Classic Kopitiam
Feb 15th, 2006 by Neo
Chap Goh Meh falls on the 15th day of the Chinese New Year celebration, and it is also the Chinese Valentine’s Day. I guess a lot of handsomes and gorgeous went to throw mandarin oranges into the river hoping they will find their perfect boyfriend/girlfriend. Anyway, I didn’t get to go because my girl was around

This was what we had on the Chap Goh Meh evening. Yes, simple dinner at McDonalds, IOI Mall. The picture’s quality is a bit low because it is captured using my Nokia 3230.

After the dinner, we went to Popular Bookstore on the second floor of the shopping mall. I got myself a book of horror stories… will tell you more about this book in another post. This Popular branch is very new and big because they have just relocated from another smaller setup to their current multiple lots setup.
Nearly an hour was spent inside of the bookstore browsing through books and magazines. Patronising bookstore is one of my favorites. While we were making our way out, we noticed a new restaurant or more appropriately called kopitiam. My girls and I agreed collectively that we gave it a try since our earlier dinner was a little simple

There you go. Kemaman Classic Kopitiam. Located just diagonally in front of the Popular bookstore.

Check out the classic decoration. Not bad eh? Their location is strategically located where you could sit down and relax and have a cup of Ipoh white coffee after you are tired shopping in Popular.

This were what we ordered: Nutty Banana Toast and Classic White Coffee. All for merely RM6.41 (including a 5% government tax).

Closer look at the inside of the Nutty Banana Toast. This is just a slice of banana and some peanut butter sandwiched between two pieces of toasted bread. Simple, byt they tasted nice and yummy. The iced Classic White Coffee tasted moderately OK.
Cheers.

Pearlie,
OK, you can use the picture. Thank you for asking and for liking the picture.
Just come back from Terengganu last week and posted my Hai Peng Kopitiam visit at gourmetsharing.com.
Will give a try to this Kemaman Classic Kopitiam, whether the coffee tastes the same.
