Google Page Creator - free webpage editor
Feb 23rd, 2006 by Neo
Google has launched their online webpage creator software called Google Page Creator. If you are a Gmail user, it is very convenient for you as you can just sign in using your Gmail Account at http://pages.google.com/ and start creating webpages and launch your new website in minutes. Of course, you can always sign up for a new gmail account for free if you do not already have one.
My quick test drive reveals that this free online tool is really easy to use, albeit a little lack in features. Perhaps the lack of features is what makes this tool fast and suitable for beginners. Basically, the best part of this tool is that:
1. You do not need any technical knowledge to create good looking webpages. Not even HTML knowledge is required.
2. The editor is “What you see is what you’ll get”. It is as easy as writing in Microsoft Word.
3. It is completely FREE, just like the great Gmail.
4. The web pages you created are ads-free, well at least for now.

The main page. You can add unlimited pages I suppose, until you fill up the 100MB disk space limit. The interface is very similar to that you get in Gmail.

The WYSIWYG web page editor. You can upload files and images to be inserted into your web page too.
The Google Page Editor also comes with 4 predefined layouts for you to choose from. You can thus conveniently choose to have a 1 column layout, 2 column layout, 3 column layout, and etc. Your choice of layout will be applied to your page automatically.
Apart from the layout, of course it won’t be complete without some nicely designed templates. Yes, it comes with more than 40 templates for you to choose from. Change your new website’s look and feel in just a few mouse clicks. What can be simpler than that?

Hehe… the single webpage that I have created in just a few minutes. Nice or not?
By the way, your web pages will live on your own site at http://[yourgmailusername].googlepages.com
What are you waiting for? Quickly create your own website at Google Page Creator and please remember to share your new website with us, just post in the comment box below ![]()

Tried liao but the answer given from the website is as below :
“Thank you for your interest in Google Page Creator! Google Page Creator has experienced extremely strong demand, and, as a result, we have temporarily limited the number of new signups as we increase capacity. In the meantime, please submit your email address and we will notify you as soon as we are ready to add new accounts. Thank you for your patience.”
Chen, can you sign in to the Page Creator using your current gmail email account? (If you are currently using gmail)
