While surfing for keywords and search terms tips, I came across this interesting site that lists the highest paying Adsense keywords.
How much would you pay to advertise your keyword? RM0.50 or RM1? Look at the keyword “mesothelioma”, people are paying as high as US$84.08 for that keyword. Insane. At closer look at the list, we find that 8 out of the top 10 paying keywords are of cancer or disease related, especially of “mesothelioma”. Double insane. Why would so many people bidding so high for these sort of keywords?

Anyway, I am not sure on the validity of this list. My doubts are:
1) What is the original source of the list? Where is it from?
2) Probably the list has been edited?
3) How recent is the the list complied? If it is compiled too long ago, things should have changed now.

What does mesothelioma means ?
“Mesothelioma” is an uncommon form of cancer, usually associated with previous exposure to asbestos. In this disease, malignant (cancerous) cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body’s internal organs. Its most common site is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and chest cavity), but it may also occur in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity) or the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart).

mmm.. how come this word is so “popular”.. Anyway, this disease is very rare in Malaysia.
There was a time when some people filed lawsuit against some industry for producing industrial waste that caused Mesothelioma.. not sure but I guessed they won.
As far as I could remember the Mesothelioma ads are normally by law firm, which a single lawsuit could earn them thousands of dollars.
There’s no such need to seek for the highest paid keywords or whatsoever.. it keeps on changing.
Just do whatever you do best and the $ will follow you.

mesothelioma is rare in malaysia.
I spent quite a bit of time going through about 18k keywords (not terms) to pick out about 30-50 for myself. I’m not going to use the rest and I thought it was a bit of a waste to just throw them away so I have posted them up here - http://keywords.iihost.net/. Feel free to use any of them if you wish. There is a whole lot of good middle range words on there.
