   Yes, very expensive. I can only afford it in my dream and thus I say it’s my dream car.

   But public transportation in Malaysia sucks, I think you can only reach some central places with the LRT or commuter. Others, you have to use the irregular bus service…

   Wuching, how much does a Honda Civic cost in Australia? On the road price in AUD? I heard it’s damn cheap there, just like the price of a Proton Iswara here in Malaysia.

    Do any 1 knows why honda civic 2.0 ivtec the production is so slow? I have booked this car almost 5 months , but sigh… till today my car still can’t come out !!!!!
    Does any dealer can get me the new civic faster?

    It is quite nice especially its interior design, i seated in one belong to my friend.
    As for the 2.0 model, i think it is too expensive. Just a little more, Camry 2.0 would be a better choice.
    Bravo to Honda for its good design.

    This car has strong performance (for the 2.0S)
    Got 5 speed auto & those paddles and stylish interior, I like it so much. But the WAITING LIST IS TOO LONG, around 5 months, why need to wait so long? No good!

    Hi Abang.. 1 ~ 2 months?? Wow… ur dealer is superb la.. Do u knw tht i am finally getting my Honda civic 2.0s next week.. i ordered in march.. the waiting period is actually 6 mths!!!! But for 1.8 i think can get within 3~4 mths..

    Anyway.. i hope u get ur car soon man… i waited so bloody long for my car… frens were making fun saying tht honda wld probably come up with a new civic model by the time i get my car.. :p :p

    and it worst buying it.
    but it need to be 2.1 or more because 1.8 is weak for a car like honda civic.
    for my rate i give it 8.5 out of 10

    I am wondering why the fuel consumption is not that good as I expected.

    Is there anyone who owns the same car can tell me how much is his/her car’s average fuel consumption?

Kereta ini bagus dan menjimatkan penggunaan minyak tetapi kualiti catnya kurang baik kerana mudah tanggal walaupun terkena pasir-pasir jalan treutama pemegang cermin sisinya.     It’s a good car I admit, I have one in silver color, it’s very active 154 hp, 1.8cc, I am living in Dubai, I think it’s less than normal compare to the cars we see everyday like SLR, VERON, porsche carrera GT, and many others, but I am happy with my sweet civic.

    My new Honda Civic 1.8 A, just delivered last week and my waiting time for the vehicle to be delivered was around 3 months. Very happy about the car and its flawless fuel consumption around 11km/ltr. 1.8 here feature comparable to 2.0ltr from malaysia except VSA and cruise control, the rest all the same. I don’t understand why 1.8ltr from Honda Malaysia is so much different from here (Ssingapore). My Civic color borrego metallic beige… wowww fantastic performance especially when I drive with the paddle shift mode. The price here is S$74k with COE. Happy drive mate!

    Aisyee, some minor sound at driver side came from inside the door, but all consumptions civic is a very good car, very nice driving, comfortable, stable on higher speed. If driving in higher speed make us very confident, thanks to abs, dbd brake and vsa if not I’m in trouble on the road last time.

    So, the speed reach to 150hp still the car was in proper control!

    i just bought civic 1.8s last six month black in colour, fuel consumption very low, speeding very good touch 190hp it’s still in proper conditions.
    i’m very satisfied to use 1.8 civic.

    I own 1.8 civic for almost 2 years now. The performance very good and the most important thing is the fuel consumption is the best. My car still shine just like a brand new car.

    To honda malaysia
    pls upgrade the honda civic 1.8 model as soon as possible……..now the current honda civic 1.8 like un completed car .

    Suggestion:
    1) side mirror light
    2) change to brigedstone/michelin tyre ( current tyre goodyear too noisy )
    3) Electronic power steering
    4) steering Audio remote control
    5) Blue Ambient light

    i have an 06 civic 1.8, got it may of 06 but still runs and looks like brand new.. changed the wheels to 18 inch…whoah…looks very nice and drives very superb…fuel consumption is not bad…i even won en eco challenge using this car…

    Honda Malaysia pls upgrade the honda civic 1.8 tyre brand to bridgestone AR10 tyre ( 205/55/R16 )this is new design tyre good perfomance and quiet during driving……….then current brand Goodyear tyre very very noisy during driving.

    I think the tyre noise is a bit subjective. Some ppl may think that the goodyear’s noise is acceptable, like me. No complains on the car so far except for the interior build quality.

    I am a current owner for the 1.8 civic, now i feel very boring with this car because it like a uncompleted features car NO audio swicth control NO side mirrow turning light …..and others ( do u know in the market all the sedan car more RM 100k all are have this type of feature) my friend just bought a Toyota altis with price RM 117,900 on the road, they have more feature then civic 1.8, why honda malaysia can’t make it?

    honda malaysia pls give offer to the current Civic 1.8 owner upgrade the car like:-
    1)steering wheel with audio control
    2)Cruise control
    3)side mirrow turning light
    4) leather seat

    Honda malaysia must take care all the Civic 1.8 owner feeling………we paid over RM110K buy a uncompleted car. I don’t care if top up RM3-6K to upgrade my current civic 1.8 ( steering audio control, cruise control or side mirrow turning light), i don’t know why the current civic 2.0 & 1.8 so much difference ???

    Very unfair to the current honda civic 1.8 owner ….Honda malaysia pls offer the upgrade program to all the civic 1.8 model owner like improve the current feature
    Suggestion for the important feature need:
    1) upgrade steering audio controller
    2) upgrade cruise control
    3) upgrade side mirrow turning light & hydropolic mirrow

    i thing all the current honda civic 1.8 owner will very happy with the offer.
    for me i don’t care if need top up RM3-7k to completed my car feature condition, it will make the car price higher trade in for second hand value in future.

    I rasa Honda malaysia untung lebih banyak dari civic 1.8 model jika compare dengan Civic 2.0 model. Ini kerana 1.8 Civic tidak mempunyai feature yang sepatutny ada pada kereta di zaman sekarang, seperti steering audio switch control, electric power steering, side mirror light… I rasa I sudah silap buat keputusan membeli
    Civic 1.8… FC 2.0 dan 1.8 tidak banyak perbezaannya. Harap Honda Malaysia izinkan ower Civic 1.8 menambahkan feature yang sepatutnya ada di Honda service center.

    Now second hand Honda Civic 1.8 and 2.0 market price is a lot difference (2yrs Civic 2.0 price still can get RM115K but 1.8 Civic only RM90k) 1.8 Civic second hand value drop more due to less feature in this car, I think all the Honda civic 1.8 model owner need together set up a committee to push Honda Malaysia upgrade our vehicle current feature to protect the second hand value.

    Any advise whether select Toyota or Honda, planing to buy a new car, but comparing Toyota Altis 1.8 and Honda Civic 2.0. Which one is better and provide better performance? Toyota Altis 1.8 has some new features which i like (gear box, power adjustment seat), but still using the old type vvti engine. Honda Vivic looks more sporty, got leather seat, HID and digital meter.

    Actualy Toyota Altis 1.8 cannot compare with Honda Civic 2.0 model because they are totally different, Honda Civic 2.0 provides 157 hp… Toyota Altis only 132 hp. The under powered car, even Honda Civic 1.8 performance is better then Altis (with 140hp). When you go to test drive then you will feel that. The old Altis the performance is better then new Altis. When you compare the car size this Altis is using under powered engine, not speed up, high FC compare to the Honda Civic 1.8. So that is a reason UMW Toyota Malaysia not doing the CKD here, because they know this car cannot compare with Honda Civic 1.8 or 2.0 model.

    * actually Toyota gear box still remain old type with 4 speed gearbox
    * Honda Civic 1.8 and 2.0 both provide 5 speed gearbox (normal for BMW or some high class car only like Toyota Camry 2.4)

    Here is the FC reading:
    Toyota Altis 1.8 : 15.5km/litre (100% highway)
    Honda Civic 1.8 : 17km/litre (100% highway)

    Toyota Altis 1.8 : 10.4km/litre (100 % city)
    Honda Civic 1.8 : 11.7km/litre (100% city)

    I drove a Honda Civic 1.8 few month ago… Very good FC overall 13km/litre. Not bad when you look at the car size and performance. i know somebody dislike the feature of this car, but that are not important features, no much difference even have CD changer, electric power steering, cruise control. When you are driving how often do you play with those features? The safety feature is the same with Civic 2.0 model.

    I will look at Honda Civic automatically when the car pass-by, this is because it is too attractive for me, it’s my dream car but at this moment I still can’t afford to buy it, hence dream car only can get it in my dream. Seriously, from year 2006 till today, Honda Civic is still the best car for me. As long as can get Honda Civic, 1.8 or 2.0s to me is not important anymore… think about Civic just like think about girl that I like, can see but cannot get, only let others hold her hand. (others drive the Civic) feel so sad….

    Hello HONDA MALAYSIA, just some comment, when will HONDA civic change it body shape, as currently the HONDA CIVIC look good but not as good like the FC-X.

    If you are to compare with the FC-X, Interior especialy the stering look fantastic.

    So when will HONDA upgrade the present Civic?

    LASTLY ONE FAVOUR FROM HONDA MALAYSIA, CAN HONDA HYBRID PRICE GO DOWN, VERY EXPENSIVE.

    I’M ENVIROMENT LOVER AND I LIKE HYBRID MORE NOT BECAUSE OF THE FUEL PRICE BUT BECAUSE OF AIR QUALITY NOW WE ARE FACING AND GLOBAL WARMING.

    I wish I will purchase HONDA HYBRID ONE DAY IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

    I’m currently driving a Honda civic 2.0… There is only 1 things that impressed me, which is the performance of this car… this machine can hit 210km/h without any problem…. But the quality of this car is like crap….
    I’ve been driving my car for 1 year, Sept 07 to Oct 08 (9/10/08,today)…. and is giving me the same old problems,
    1. ‘knocking sound’ from front right absorber. After replacing 3 set… read carefully… is 3 SETS of absorber…. the annoying sound still occured… and u guys wanna know whats Honda says..!!! U guys wont believe….
    2. ‘Scratching sound’ from the front disk brakes. After the 1st screening of my disk brake… same old sound occured, brake paddle vibrating when u step on it during high speed, and the worse thing is HONDA says THEY CAN”T REPLACE THE DISK BRAKE UNTILL I DONE MY SECOND SCREENING OF DISK BRAKE…. fine… i send for 2nd screening, same old problems occured… I’ve complaint to honda and suprisingly NO BODY ENTERTAIN ME….
    Sorry for those honda fanatics out there… but it is true… If anyone of u are working inside honda.. u can check my case. Registration no is WQM50…

    Well, Civic sure has the futuristic dashboard design, still remains a firm favourite here only in Malaysia, probably Singapore as well. Looks good with 17in alloys, rev-happy 153bhp 2.0 litre engine and quick shifting 5 speed auto transmission. But it loses out of refinement, legroom and not forgetting the silky CVT transmission that offered in Nissan Sylphy. Civic ride can be brittle and there’s an amount of rolling noise too. Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT beats the Civic 2.0 with its 18in alloys, the rides pretty well and has the tidiest handling.

    i’m driving 2.0 civic , i love this car so much ! but i dont like in penang SG pinang SERVICE CENTER !!! their service is SUCK !!!!! sorry to say that …. they really is pissed me off !!!!!

    Due to my Civic 2.0 sent to service , the cashier there are so RUDE , the reception for arranging the time schedule is suck….and is lot lot different price for the service …. if you are the owner of civics club, please request it from your civic club bu indivisual all the resit when they service , u can see the different of the cost they charged !!!!!

    Sg pinang service is so damn lousy !!!!

    and also due to my sis Jazz sent to service , the bearing is something wrong there , but they insist not to repair it and to tell my sis go and change brand new tyre , and my sis not really know bout car , so go she go changed the brand new 4tyre , after that the sound are still remain ….. the tyre service center told my sis is the car bearing sound not because of the tyre , but honda in SG PINANG service centre insist is tyre problem so we’ve changed it … after all … the reception there speechless , only willingly to repair the bearing for us with warranty ……
    sigh … wat a good service is that ?
