Fixing my Yonex Badminton Shoe with Super Glue
Apr 21st, 2006 by Neo
Still remember that I bought a pair of new Yonex Badminton Shoe that costed my arm and my leg? And of course the old shoe which have served me very well for the past 2 years.
I was a bit reluctant to just throw away the loyal old shoe, and the fact that most parts of the shoe is still intact and in good condition (although a bit dirty), I have decided to restore it! Now, how did I do it? Follow me, let me show you.

Alteco, Bonds In Seconds super glue
First, get a pack of Alteco, Bonds In Seconds super glue from 7-Eleven at a mere RM3.50. Very cheap, as it comes with two tubes. This super glue is suitable for all sorts of things, metal, plastic, wood, ceramics, leather, rubber, and glass. I was hoping they have a 1-tube-pack for the price of RM1.xx, but no they didn’t. Only 2-packs type.

After that, inspect the torn area of the shoe. Ok, looks like it was not that bad. What’s next? Of course to squeeze a few drops of the super glue into the crack. Remember, do not squeeze too much, as a rule of thumb, one drop is enough to cover one inch square. Wipe off excessive with tissue paper quickly.
Then, quickly hold the two surfaces together, as tightly as possible. Since the glue dries in seconds and has a very strong bond, you will need to do that for about 10 to 20 seconds only. After that, the shoe is like brand new again
Haha.

Haha, way to go! I also have the uncanny ability to somehow have the soles fall out in a very short time. Long live superglue!
Good Idea!
That was just the art of ALTECO Super glue….every home needs to have one at least.
