Dragon Boat Festival
May 31st, 2006 by Neo
Today, Chinese in Malaysia celebrates the annual Dragon Board Festival, which is also known as the Dumpling Festival. In Chinese it’s called the “Duan Wu Jie”. This traditional Chinese festival is celebrated by the eating of a variety of steamed glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves.
Now, I don’t really have photos of glutinous rice to show you because we do not cook it ourselves, nor have we bought any. But a friend of mine forwarded me this cute flash animation on the Dragon Boat Festival.

Can you smeel the fragrance?
Take a bite on the dumpling while it’s still warm. It’s heavenly delicious!
