Flying with AirAsia
Jun 26th, 2006 by Neo
Everyone know that AirAsia is a low fare, no frills carrier in this region, and their flight fares are unbeatable by any competitors. Recently, my friends and I made a short get away trip to Langkawi, and our choice of transportation was of course AirAsia. The booking was done online on their website and it costed us roughly RM255 roundtrip (LCCT and Langkawi) per pax.

I heard that the walk from the departure hall to the plane is very far… now only I get to experience it! It’s about 400 meters.
This was not my first time on a plane, but was my first time snapping on board a plane. I have always thought that digital camera is an electrical device that has to be switched off because it will interfere with the electrical system of the aircraft. However, this time I couldn’t help myself after seeing a couple of passengers cam whoring on the flight and was never stopped by the air stewardess.

These cute air stewardess in bright red uniforms were busy selling drinks and snacks.
I never really pay attention to what they sell on AirAsia flights before this. However, this time for the benefits of my blog readers, I purposely took some pictures of the menu.

Most expensive instant noodles.
See the pictures above? One hot bowl noodles costs RM7. A cup of Pepsi costs RM5. What it’s like to have a bowl of hot noodles and a cup of Pepsi 3500 feets in the sky? No idea at all because we thought it’s much better to have our snacks on the ground when they are much cheaper

Good weather.
The flight to Langkawi took about 45 minutes, and the weather was pretty good all the way. This was the view we got looking outside of the cabin window.
Langkawi, here we come!
