Nasi Lemak Breakfast
Jul 12th, 2006 by Neo
What did you have breakfast today? I had nasi lemak (rice cooked in coconut milk) of course.

Nasi Lemak at RM1.80.
Look at the pack above, so big and heavy. I bought it from a stall in front of a Mobil petrol station in Puchong. It costed RM1.80, althought it’s big, but not much ingredients inside; no chicken drumstick and no sotong (squid)

Nasi Lemak.
Look how nicely they pack the nasi lemak. If you put two of those side by side, it’s like a twin peak
The one I tried is the nasi lemak biasa (the ordinary type), without any chicken. The one with chicken costs RM3.50 I think. Can’t really remember the price.
Nasi Lemak - one of Malaysian’s favorite dish, can be eaten at any time - breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, tea, dinner, supper, post-boozeup - and the creamy, hot & spicy flavors makes it simply satisfying!

yummy! i love nasi lemak.
1.80 for nasi lemak biasa? ya, expensive. usually nasi lemak don’t have chicken (or sotong). the basic choices in nasi lemak biasa are ikan bilis or ikan or telur or udang. so you choose which you want. of course there are some stalls selling all those 4 together in a packet.

[...] This is what I had for breakfast today. Decoral Fried Rice from 7 Eleven. Actually, I wanted to get my nasi lemak from the stall where I usually get my supply, but was surprised to see it’s closed this morning. Maybe the owner is on holiday or Monday is her rest day. [...]
