Bandar Puteri Puchong Photography Contest
Sep 5th, 2006 by Neo
IOI Properties Berhad, the developer for the happening Bandar Puteri township, launched its Photography Contest themed “The Beauty of Bandar Puteri Puchong”, recently.

The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers and the closing date is on 8 Sept 2006.
It is aimed at highlighting the vibrant lifestyles and the beauty of Bandar Puteri Puchong and to invite the public to demonstrate their photography skills.
With the unspoilt Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve as the background, contestant will have to capture the vibrant lifestyles, the sleek architecture, natural landscapes and the wonderful faculties offered at the township.
Scoring of the entries will be based on the subject and moment, picture composition, technical quality, originality, creativity and technique.
More information is available at Thestar, or at the developer’s website.
Of course, contest like this very much attracts the Second-class photographer. I get to know about this contest only last week and with limited time and simple photography equipments, I spent a few hours in Bandar Puteri last weekend trying to capture something good. I planned to wake up early Sunday morning to capture the sun rise as the backdrop, but too bad couldn’t make it… Only reached Bandar Puteri at roughly 10am.
Eventually, the photos turned out to be of second-class. I understand they are not of submission quality and so will give the contest a miss this time.

The park in Bandar Puteri.
The park is located next to the MBA (Michael’s Badminton Academy), Malaysia’s largest badminton hall housing 32 badminton courts. There were not many people in the park, perhaps because it’s late morning, sun was scorching hot! While I was busy snapping some photos, this couple came by walking on the jogging path carrying a badminton racket, quickly I asked them to pose for me on the hanging bridge
I believe the township will look very nice from an “eagle view” angle. After some 10 to 15 minutes driving in the town, searching for a suitable location, finally I found a spot on the hill top where I can get a nice view of the town.

Bandar Puteri view from atop.

Bandar Puteri.
Only if I took the photos early in the morning or during sunset… the view would definitely be much nicer!
What do you think? Will the photos above win me the first prize… Hehe RM3000, that can buy me a dSLR
