Oct 5th, 2006 by Neo
Do you still remember Allan Tai? A couple of years ago I saw him play in some national level championships, but apart from that I do not have much more memories about him. It’s a surprise to see him in the recent World Chinese Badminton Championships age 25 category final. He comfortably beat an exhausted young player from China.
Check out some random pictures captured during the match.

There you go. It’s not easy to make it to the homepage of this blog… you need to be as good as Allan Tai to make it here, OK?

See, got sponsor from Fleet - a popular badminton equipment brand.

You can really learn a lot from watching high standard matches like this one. For example, you stand with one foot in front and be fully prepared to receive your opponent’s serve. Raise your racket head a little just in case the shuttlecock went high, you can quickly give it a tap to kill it.
By the way, notice his thigh? What’s the band for?

Our champion taking some pictures with his opponent. The China player looks a little dejected after the defeat.
Let’s watch some highlight videos of the matches. Make sure you turn on your speaker to enjoy the atmosphere.
This clip shows how fast Allan moves on the court. Anyway, unfortunately he made an unforced error at the end.
The doubles. One of the most vital qualities you must have in doubles is powerful and continuous smashes!
