Astro Remote Controller
Oct 7th, 2006 by Neo
I am a loyal Astro subscriber since … ah, I think at least 5 years ago… OMG, I can’t believe it, I have been paying this lousy satellite TV operator for so long! But, we don’t have much choice if we wanted to watch more channels, right?
Anyway, lately my Astro remote controller has not been functioning the way it’s supposed to. Not only it becomes less responsive, but when you press the up-volume key, the decoder might decide to switch to another channel instead! Also, it’s so damn hard to tune in to channel 80, 81 and 82 (sports is my favorite) because the 8-key is faulty… I have to try countless times to do that.
My patience is tested. I decided to get a replacement from the Giant Hypermarket.

Astro Remote Controller
Look at what I got from Giant. RM12.90 only, it looks so identical to the original Astro remote controller. Every little detail is the same, except the logo/brand name of course.
The new replacement works perfectly. I have no complaint, except that the keys are a little too stiff. I have to press a little harder, but apart from that, it’s a nice and affordable replacement. However, if you are looking for a nicer remote controller, then you should really try this, although it’s slightly more costly! Remember, it’s the fun that counts!
