Scrumptious Dinner at Matang
Oct 28th, 2006 by Neo
After an afternoon of water fun at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort, we were totally exhausted. I was so tired that I couldn’t distinguish between my left hand from my left.
What else you should do when you are totally exhausted? Of course find a place for dinner! Hahaha… An uncle who joined us for the outing, was kind enough to treat us a scrumptious seafood dinner at Matang, Perak. I have no idea where is Matang, but of course the person who treat knows the way. The uncle is very familiar with Matang that he knows exactly where to go for good seafood

Crackers. Not very good, a little too hard.
While waiting for the food to be prepared, we were served with this plate of crackers.

Curry fish head.
This was the favorite of the night. Everyone praised it and because of this dish, I had to add two plates of additional rice! It’s too delicious to not finish it!

Crabs.
Can’t remember how you name these crabs. But, anyway, they were not that fabulous. Reason being that the actual edible meat were so little… haha.

Kangkong Belachan.
This is very nice too. The belachan really make my mouth water… haha. Below were some other dishes we had.

Gu Lou Yuk (咕噜肉).

Squids.

Chinese Broccoli.
Enough to make you drool? No? Then try these fried fish.

Fried fish.
By the way, I followed the uncle all the way to the restaurant, but since it’s raining heavily I didn’t get to remember the location clearly. I am sure I will lost my way if you ask me to go there all by myself next time.

head towards kuala sepetang from simpang main cross road. after a while you will pass some sort of old malay fort on your left, i think its called the kota ngah ibrahim, then there should be a small road on the left, take the left and soon enough you will see sea food restaurant on the left and right. enjoy.
