Malaysia’s Largest Badminton Centre
Oct 31st, 2006 by Neo
Which badminton center in Malaysia do you think is the largest? Largest in the sense that it has the most number of badminton courts.
Could it be the one in Subang by the name of 3K Sports Complex? This sports complex houses quite a number of badminton courts (in three halls if I am not mistaken), a footsal hall, two squash courts and a driving range. Unfortunately, no, not this one definitely.
I heard there is a big badminton center in Wangsa Maju… It’s called the Pro-One Badminton Center. Although I have not played there before, but I think it’s not the biggest one in Malaysia.
This is because the largest one falls in Bandar Puteri, Puchong! Where else could this be if it’s not MBA (Michael’s Badminton Academy)? Don’t believe me? Check this out!

Largest badminton centre in Malaysia.
Mind you, it’s even in the Malaysia Book of Records. This center has a total of 32 badminton courts, and recently it made headlines in local media by hosting the 13th edition of World Chinese Badminton Championships.
I know you are tempted to play at this badminton center. You feel proud to play at Malaysia’s largest badminton center, you know. But, as with most things, when they are famous, they charge a fortune on you. It costs RM20 an hour to play here. Shuttlecocks and drinks are not included

Cash receipt for an hour session.
On rare occassions when I do not have enough mates, I play single. One hour is enough for single… and as the receipt shows, RM20 an hour.
By the way, the parque flooring there is not too bad because the center is barely a couple of years old I guess. However, the distance between courts are a little too close to my liking and the hall is quite stuffy, especially in the afternoon. I can still remember that everyone were sweating like whores on night shift during the World Chinese Badminton Championships, including the spectators who didn’t play!
Psss. Don’t know if I can get free plays or not by promoting MBA for Michael?

[…] Soon, the clock striked 8:30pm and the VIP for the night arrived. He was none other than the MP for Puchong, YB Lau Yeng Peng. He was quickly ushered to the stage to give his speech. Secretly I tell you, it was a boring speech… but luckily there was still plenty of food left and the long queue had obviously disappeared by now. I quickly went for my light dinner before I headed over to MBA, Bandar Puteri for my late night badminton! […]
