Alamanda Putrajaya
Nov 7th, 2006 by Neo
It has been about a year or so since Alamanda Putrajaya opened its doors to the delight of people who work, live and play in Putrajaya. I must say that I have wanted to visit this new shopping mall long time ago, but what to do time didn’t permit me. However, that’s just what we did last weekend.

Alamanda Putrajaya’s ambience.
I was pretty surprised to see one simple but new concept in this shopping mall. That’s they have trees in the center of the shopping mall itself! These are not ordinary trees because there are perhaps twenty or thirty of them and all of them are more than ten meters tall I guess.

Nice trees. How do you call them?
Overall, shopping at this first shopping mall right in the heart of Putrajaya is so much different from the other better known shopping centers such as 1Utama, MidValley and KLCC. This place is so much more quiet and relaxing, mainly due to not so many patrons I guess. Then, the mall design is refreshing too.
The shopping mall has a variety of shops, restaurants, bowling alleys, movie theatres and a big food court. The anchor tenants are Carrefour and Parkson Grand.
Let’s take a look at some of the other tenants.

Famous Amos. They stock all sorts of chocolates, cookies, and candies.

Senheng, popular electrical appliances center.

Toycity.
I am a bit afraid I will see Star Wars figurines, so I dare not go near the Toycity outlet
Anyway, I regret that I couldn’t go out of the mall to check out the surrounding landscape and buildings because it’s raining cats and dogs, and by the time the rain subsided, it was already dark. I am afraid of the dark, you know. But, I am sure you have enjoyed my Putrajaya Alamanda tour. It’s Monday night and I still have the weekend lazy bug. I need to go to zzz soon.

I went there before… It’s relaxing due to not much people hanging there lah…
So it’s EMPTY. =)
go find out if got star wars figurines onot!
It’s a nice place to shop. I go to the Carrefour there to get my groceries and the queue at the cashier can be quite long on weekends.
“I am afraid of the dark, you know.”
…
Do not go there during rainy days because there will be a lot (yeah i mean a lot) of place being block and rain coming in the mall… =.=
Then if you are going to GSC that was just opened recently…
They won’t let you pass through.
So how are you going to go GSC?
OK, there will be a fat lady telling you “I’m sorry the road here is close please use the parking lot to go to the GSC”
So where the hell is that?
The fat lady “go down there go to the parking lot bla bla bla bla bla….”
So why not just give up because there is NO sign board telling how to go and they wont guide you there =.=….
I wonder how alamanda shopping mall was built till rain can come in… other shopping mall so big yet still fine.
Here is the news of the Alamanda flooding.
