Great Holiday in Port Dickson
Jan 2nd, 2007 by Neo
Hello friends and strangers! How was your New Year countdown? Hope it was a great and memorable one!
This is my first day at writing in this blog as I have just got back from a great and memorable holiday in Port Dickson, or more popularly known as PD. For those uninitiated, Port Dickson is a favourite weekend getaway for Malaysian and Singaporean folks especially those seeking temporary escape from the hustle and bustle of a hectic and stressful city life. Port Dickson is located near to Seremban, Negeri Sembilan and our journey from Kuala Lumpur took about 1.45 hours only. Luckily traffic on the North-South Highway was extremely smooth, no slow down that was expected due to the long weekend holiday! That should be attributed to our new year good luck
Anyway, let’s check out the place we stayed in.

We booked a 2-bedroom apartment unit in the Ancasa Resort AllSuites which is situated at the popular beachfront along the eight and a half mile area of Pantai Teluk Kemang in Port Dickson. It took us a while to locate this resort since it’s located a little further than expected… away from some of the more well known resorts such as the Bayu Beach Resort, Corus Paradise Resort, Glory Beach Resort, Guoman Port Dickson, not to mention one of the best resort there - Avillion Village Resort (I will talk more about Avillion complete with lots of pictures in a future story. One of their suites cost RM2800 a night)! However, although it took us a couple more minutes of drive, Ancasa costs only RM288 a night. Haha, quite cheap right?

Ancasa Resort is made up of a few high rise apartment buildings… not sure how many of them but I guess there are perhaps 8 or 10 buildings. Views from within the apartment is excellent, and since it’s located on the beachfront and the building is high, you can really feel the refreshing sea breeze.

One small regret was that the evening was a little gloomy and thus we were not able to catch the sun set.

The picture above shows our unit’s living room. Nice comfy design, equiped with a ceiling fan but no aircon. The curtain leads to a big balcony where you can enjoy some cool sea breeze, if you are facing the nicer side

The sofa and the dining table in the cozy living room.

The above shows the bedroom. The cool thing about the bedroom is that it’s equiped with both aircon and ceiling fan. You don’t get this in most other resorts I suppose.
OK, that concludes our first installment of my Port Dickson trip. Please stay tuned for more posts about this trip where I will bring you on a tour on the Ancasa Resort’s facilities, Port Dickson beach, nice food in Port Dickson, and much more.

My girl and I have been dating for quite some time (if you are curious how long exactly, then I suggest you to browse through my older posts and you may get a hint or two). I can still remember our first date to the movie at 1Utama, our first romantic dinner at Soul Out, Sri Hartamas and all the recent trips we made together.
