What to eat in Port Dickson
Jan 13th, 2007 by Neo
We are not done with Port Dickson yet… Today, let me show you what food you should not miss out if you happen to visit Port Dickson. In fact, all of us are not familiar with PD and were not sure where to look for nice things to eat… until one of us, Joseph decided to give his best buddy a call.
The buddy recommended a restaurant that serves a special dish called the Chicken Bun. What’s that??! Be patient, I will show you what’s Chicken Bun in a short while but let’s start with the restaurant’s pictures first (easier for you to locate it, you just print the picture and bring it to PD, people might point you in the right direction :))…

That’s the Lucky Seafood Restaurant. Located along the trunk road leading to Lukut from Port Dickson, the landmark we used to hunt this restaurant is a KFC restaurant located some 2 kilometers away. If you were driving from PD towards Lukut, once you see the KFC restaurant on your right, you should look out for the restaurant on your left a little further down. Drive from Ancasa Resort AllSuites is about 30 minutes.

That’s it, the Chicken Bun! The chicken is basically cooked or baked within the bun itself… not sure how they do it… but the bun and chicken combination tastes heavenly I assure you. A medium size one which costs RM18 is suitable for 4-5 persons.

All of us enjoyed this dish very much, and the bun is quite satisfying, so if you ordered this you might want to order less rice

Another specialty of Lucky Seafood Restaurant that I would like to recommend is this Crab + Prawn + Fish Balls soup. The name is Chinese is very nice: 龙虎会. The soup is a little spicy but very satisfying. You have to taste it yourself… our big bowl costed us RM42! Expensive or not?
Below are some other dishes we had. Enjoy.

Asam fish.

Gu Lou Yuk (咕噜肉).

Claypot taufu.

And of course not forgetting this vegetable dish, but pardon me for my ignorance, I just forgot how you call this?!
By the way, the first tennis Grand Slam of 2007, Australian Open is just a couple of days away. I just couldn’t wait to watch my favorites Martina Hingis, Elena Dementieva, and Daniela Hantuchova playing… Haha, I am sure you noticed all these are the good looking ones
For the mens, I would support Roger Federer! Hope can see him play against Rafael Nadal in the final!
