Best Hotel in Port Dickson, Avillion Village Resort
Feb 6th, 2007 by Neo
Just when you thought I am done with my Port Dickson trip, I have yet another post complete with lots of photos about Port Dickson.
This time I have the pleasure to bring you to tour one of the best hotel in this part of the country… well, it may not be the best hotel for people like myself because it comes at a whopping cost, RM2,800 a night! That really frightened me! I certainly do not want to spend two and a half months of my salary on a night’s stay at this resort no matter how good it is!

Anyway, welcome to Avillion Village Resort, an oasis for business and leisure travelers. Located on the 3rd mile of the Port Dickson beach, Avillion Village Resort is truly a tucked away paradise in Malaysia. The resort is in essence designed along the concept of a traditional Malay fishing village. The architecture and finishes manifest the influence of Malay culture combined in an eclectic mood!

This was what greeted us at the entrance. Some performers playing some sort of Malay musical instruments. Although I wasn’t sure what tunes they were playing, but it certainly added ambience to the resort.

Let’s follow the corridor that leads from the lobby to the water chalets with windows that open out to the sea beneath you and the sky above you.

Be patient, before we reach the water chalets, let’s enjoy this century old Minangkabau Bullock Cart first. According to legend, bullock carts were first brought in from India to Melaka centuries ago by sea and were used as a main mode of transportation on land from one village to another.
In the following years, the Malay folks adopted the bullock cart and redesigned it to reflect the Malay culture, hence the current Minangkabau design from the state of Negeri Sembilan. The bullock cart was even used as a mobile sundry shop from village to village!

OMG! Finally, we get to see the famous water chalets!

All the rooms are sea-facing, offering superb vistas of the Straits of Melaka.

This is excellent for guests who enjoy quiet afternoons of pleasure reading while overlooking the white sandy beach with the sea breeze gently gracing their faces.
Since we are here, I am sure you don’t mind checking out the interior of the RM2,800 a night Avery Water Suite.

This is of course the cozy living area.

Looks like although you are pretty excited to see these unique water chalets which are all built on the breathtaking sea water, you are a little tired. Wanna take a break on this comfy bed?
Okay, while you rest, I shall head back to my humble Ancasa Resort AllSuites!

pinksterz,
Thanks for dropping by. Next time you go to say in Avillion again, remember to bring me along!
Wuching,
I don’t own the resort lei!
Em…..nice place!!! but the price is expansive. I can afford it T_T
WAH!! How you manage to get photos of the room? -_-”
Been to Port Dickson a number of times but have never tried the Avillion. Maybe next time. The pics look nice.
Oh my god…!
This is such a beautiful place…
If i’m not wrong, this resort was chosen by “rashid sibir” for one of his famous telemovie at Astro. The title of the telemovie is “Sedetik Cinta”, starring by Rosyam Nor and Nasha Aziz.
Again… it’s beautiful..!!!
p/s: Neo, I’m so jealous… (when can I go there?)
Wah so nice and EXPENSIVE!
Friend of mine gave a free night stay. It was stunning! Relaxing at the balcony facing towards the sea during the sun set… You won’t believe it. Such a nice & peaceful breakaway! Perfect destination.
Just stayed at avillion chalet last week. I booked the duplex suite at the tower block two months ago. When I came last week, the whole place except my room was under renovation from 9am to 7pm. Hacking works made the stay impossible. I was forced to change room. They could at least have informed me of the works because I booked two months ago.
Also, on the third day of my stay, the entire PD water supply got cut off. So no water in avillion.
I stayed there with my sis for free… and yes… it is such a nice place, so serene and beautiful. Please go there if any of you have the chance. I think it is the nicest place in PD and besides, you can watch the sunset right in front of your room.
