LCCT pictures early in the morning

I was at the LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) last week to send a couple of friend off, who were going back to Sarawak. Since they didn’t like the idea of appearing on my blog, I guess we will not talk about them, but just show you some pictures of the airport terminal which is specifically built close to the KL International Airport to cater to the growing passengers of the budget airlines, especially the passengers of Malaysia’s first ‘no-frills’ airline, Air Asia.

That’s the view at the wee hours which I brought you while you are still sound asleep in the comfort of your bed.
Okay, you said all you see are a few busses… now, let’s step inside the terminal.

So, this is the LCCT terminal that took up approximately RM 108 million in construction cost! What greeted us is this big LED screen that announces the flights departure and arrival statuses.

We went a little further in and were shocked to see the hugh crowd. How come there were so many people even when it’s still so early in the morning? Hahaha… must be the cheaper fares! People are smart like us, travel in the wee hours so that you can save a few more bucks!
Let’s see what eating establishments do they have here.

Not surprisingly McDonald’s. You can find McDonald’s almost everywhere and anywhere, right? Anyone want to joint venture with me to open a McDonald’s outlet? I think this should be a good venture to go into… since when did you hear any McDonald’s outlet went bankrupt?

Asian Kitchen, loads of people! Food here is definitely cheaper than the instant noodles sold on the Air Asia flights. So better spend here than on the plane!

Business here’s comparatively quiter compared to McDonald’s and Asian Kitchen. Nothing too surprise about this as Coffee Bean is a more classy place. Of course more expensive too.
For the curious bunch. The LCCT has a total built up area of 35,290 square meters and is designed and built with very basic terminal facilities and amenities. The terminal is designed to facilitate the passengers’ movement of international and domestic departures/arrivals within a single floor operation area. Thus it doesn’t have travellators, escalators and aerobridges.
