One Utama Chinese New Year decoration
Feb 15th, 2007 by Neo
Last time I brought you the below par Christmas decoration at 1Utama which I hate mentioning it again as everyone expect One Utama to do much better than that as it’s one of the biggest shopping center in Malaysia. This time, I happen to drop by One Utama and of course took some pictures of its Chinese New Year decoration.
This time it looks much better… at least those are modelled from traditional chinese architecture.

There are pergolas and some bamboo trees as decoration.

There is even a gold fish pond, where some good faithed people toss coins into before making their wishes. Most of them are 1-cent coins, so stingy how to make your wish come true?

Bamboos are always used in Chinese decorations, as bamboo signifies the Chinese traditional idea of a gentlman: learned, noble, dignified and most importantly strong and tough!

The bird’s eye view gives you a better overview of the whole area. The center is a big stage where there will be performances when Chinese New Year draws closer… I have not got a chance to see these though, otherwise I would be able to share with you.
