Beautiful Sungai Siput sunset
Mar 5th, 2007 by Neo
You have praised my rainbow photos, many thanks for the compliments. Today, let me show you some sunset photos which are very beautiful. They are taken by a friend of mine who spent a short holiday in Sungai Siput. I will perhaps talk more about this little hideout place in Sungai Siput at a later time, but today let’s enjoy the sunset first, before the sun sets!

Beautiful calm sunset which imbues a sense of peace in us.

For those who are poor in geography like myself, Sungai Siput is a town in Kuala Kangsar district, Perak, Malaysia. According to my friend who took the pictures, she say the mountain is called the Lion Mountain loosely translated from the Chinese 狮子山. Does the mountain looks like the back of a lion to you?

Sungai Siput is nice and quiet place.. which is located in between Kuala Kangsar and Ipoh Town.

oooh…these pictures are gorgeous..i love the colours of the sky! now i’ll know where to visit if i ever go to Perak..lol
Well…the pics r beautiful…well none to me seems to be Bukit Singa(Lion Mountain) in a proper view…
just concern bout it…
thts all..o yea d 3rd pic is not bukit singa..
Lion mountain, the symbol of Sg Siput.
The 3rd pic not lion mountain, it’s behind the Sg Siput hospital… right?
noname,
3rd pic not lion mountain? I am not too sure, the pics were give to me by a friend.
Nice place, I like it guys. Sg Siput is a quiet town most 40% Chinese 30% Malays and 30% Indians. So it’s a peaceful town to stay if you have time, went there to relax your mind.
Neo,
I concur with “noname”, the 3rd pic is not the famous lion hill. Looking close at the pic, you’ll realize that the mountain is just next to the cement plant, owned by Lafarge.
The lion hill is after the town where the town hospital is currently located.
Do check out Sg Siput’s long history especially its role during the communist emegency.
