Can you find Korean food in Sibu?

Of course you can. Let me bring you to this nice Korean restaurant in Sibu, which is located near to the old demolished Sibu hospital I guess. There is also a new hotel in front of the restaurant, it’s called the Paramount Hotel. There are a couple of new hotels in Sibu, the other one is called the RH Hotel, owned by the rich timber tycoon Rimbunan Hijau if I am not mistaken. So many new buildings in Sibu. I am feeling a little lost now… That’s the problem of not going back to your hometown for such a long time, you tend to forget everything there is even the location and directions.
Anyway, please allow me to guide you into the restaurant which is located on the 1st floor for a scrumptious dinner.

From the name already you know this place specialises in Korean BBQ! Come, let’s light up the stove and start the BBQ party.

The BBQ was done front of us on our table. The vegetables, mushroom, chicken and mutton were placed on the stove before it’s lighted and the cooking began. You don’t need me to tell you how delicious were all those freshly cooked stuff, just look at the steamy stove and you will know.

Prior to this I could only cook Maggie mee but after this meal I have qualified myself as a good Korean BBQ cook as well! Actually, the cooking is very simple, you only have to adjust the flames with the twist of a button and flip the meat occassionally so that they do not overcook.
Apart from this main course, below were a few others that we had.

Fried fish fillets. Crunchy!

Milian – a very common type of vegetable in Sarawak. Tasted marvellous!

Fried taufu, stuffed with prawns.
Don’t be shy OK. Help yourself with the foold, there are plenty of them… later if we can’t finish them, have to throw away, then wasted.

Look at the packed restaurant and you will know this is a very famous restaurant in Sibu. If you want to have dinner here with your girl friend, make sure you make reservation first to avoid disappointment to your girl friend. Your purse will of course feel happy!
