Bidor’s Pun Chun Restaurant revisited
Apr 2nd, 2007 by Neo
I hope you still remember we had a big bowl of heavenly Duck Drumstick Noodles at the Pun Chun Restaurant in Bidor some time ago. Pardon me, I thought it was some time ago, but a quick check on my blog only I realise how fast time flies… it was more than 1 year ago… I can never forget the delicious noodles and soup. I make Bidor a must stop every time I travel on the North-South Expressway, and this time there’s no exception.

Not surprisingly, the number of patrons were overwhelming, most likely due to the ching ming festival cum a weekend. No empty seats available and many of the diners had to wait.

We were not having some exceptional luck that day as we had to wait up to 30 minutes before we were able to grab our seats. But that was so much better than last time when we had to wait for 45 minutes before we found our seats! Tips to get your seat quicker; scan the area and see who is finishing his food and quickly stand beside him, make sure he notices you. If there’s a fan, make sure you block it… make him sweat while enjoying his meal… haha!

At the other side, the chicken biscuits business was as good as always. The queue waiting to pay up extended from the counter to the back of the restaurant.

Various candies, biscuits, pastries and delicacies are available here, including of course the famous “Sat Kei Ma” and “Kai Jai Peng”.

If I didn’t tell you, you might not know that Bidor is also famous for its seedless guava. So, you have 4 or 5 stalls and shops selling this magnificent fruit on the same row of Pun Chun. I bought a 1-KG pack which costs RM6. Expensive or not?
That concludes our Bidor tour this time. Hope you have lots of fun!

I don’t stop there anymore…too many people! Haha
My dad used to hang out there during his younger days. I think he knew the owner.
Sounds like an interesting dining joint to check out! I might go there sometime soon.
Where is the food pic?
I love those kind of buildings. Most of these have been torn down here in HK due to safety and modernisation reasons. The remaining ones are few and far between!
If I ever have the opportunity to go there, I’ll surely stuff myself full.
I can’t help it… I am drooling over the heavenly delicious duck leg noodle and soup…
