Help me with my new car porch tiles
Apr 27th, 2007 by Neo
Yesterday was another busy and tiring day, thus no updates. But worry not, we have plenty of things happening today, and I will let you have a glimpse of my new car porch floor tiles. Yes, Paypal has revived my account and LHDN also has sent me some money, so why not renovate my car porch?
Yesterday, I purposely took leave to check out ceramic tiles at a couple of tiles shops in Puchong. One of the design and colors match my preference, and best of all they are within my budget. Have a look at a picture I took.

The make is Kimgress, and the shop is Goldhill Marble & Tiles Trading, located at the new shop lots in Pusat Bandar Puchong.
There are three colors for me to choose from, or to play with. Maroon, light brown and light grey. But, I just can’t make up my mind on how to design or layout the tiles. How to mix and match the different colors, or should I just use the simplest design: one color only?

I have drawn some possible and most popular designs/layouts. No, I am definitely not an interior designer or architect, but these designs are copied from my neighbors. Anyway, can you let me know what’s your preference… and I will take your opinion and suggestion into consideration to decide my car porch’s tiling!

The maroon color is good for borders I think. Just like the sketch I did in the first pic.
First sketch and get rid of the light grey border make a solid light grey there
[...] Still remember I talked about my car porch tiles, which I asked you to suggest on what sort of design I should go for? I have finally decided on the design and get the rennovation started. It progressed pretty good and I have actually learned a lot of new tricks from them. When they are busy doing their work, I will disturb them with lots of silly questions from how to stick the tiles onto the floor to how to take care of them afterwards. [...]
