Hi friends, I am in Phuket, Thailand! Can you believe this? I am on a one-week-vacation fully paid by nothing other than my blogging money! My Airasia flight departed from LCCT at around 12:45pm and touched down at Phuket airport at about 1pm local time. Phuket is one hour behind Malaysia’s time.

I haven’t been travelling using LCCT much and was surprised to see they have a new covered walkway that leads to the planes. Seen here are my travel mates making their way to the plane. Loving couple, eh?

That’s our Airasia plane. Nicely decorated with a pretty Airasia stewardess on the outside of the fuselage.

While we were in the plane, I saw this piece of news: bombing in Southern Thailand. I purposely showed it to the chick sitting next to me hoping she will get scared and stay with me closer… Haha… you guess what happened after that?!

Anyway, there was a small incident before we board the plane which might serve as a reminder to all who plan to travel soon. We totally forgot that they have tighter security procedures in place these days which prohibit travelers bringing any liquid more than 100ml. Yes, any liquid, that include drinking water too! Ignorantly, we had items such as a tooth paste, a facial cleanser, and a contact lens cleanser in our hand-carry luggage which were of course confiscated much to our dismay.

What to do, new security measures you like or not have to follow. In the end, we were forced to buy these items from the airport convenient shop which were of course expensive. Reminder on the sealed pack; “Do not open until final destination. Contents may be confiscated if bag is tampered with”. Be careful, don’t play play with the bag!
