The Royal London Circus
Jul 1st, 2007 by Neo
I was in Taman Puchong Utama this morning visiting a friend of mine. While we were on our way out looking for breakfast, we were surprised to see a crowd gathered beside the road leading to the food court in Taman Maju Jaya. Lots of cars were parked along the road which is not a usual sight. Curiosity got the better of us and we stopped too.

Have you seen a horse in this part of the world before. No. Never before. But, surprisingly, there were some horses here today! No wonder lots of people stopped to take photos!
We didn’t want to miss out the opportunity, so we started snapping away. I know you haven’t seen a horse lately, so these pictures were taken specially for you, how nice I am. Haha.

There was a white horse too! Not very common, eh?

Apart from horses, there’s a baby elephant too. This elephant was smaller in size compared to the trekking elephant in Thailand, but nonetheless everybody was still delighted to take photos with him.

We were wondering why on earth somebody would place so many horses and an elephant here… until we spotted some lorries and cranes working at an open field nearby. Upon closer inspection, the mystery was solved instantly.

Apparently they are setting up a circus here, it is The Royal London Circus. This is really a major surprise for us as why on earth they do not setup the circus at a more happening area… such as Bandar Puteri? Perhaps they cannot find a large enough land, or maybe it’s too pricey at other places. Anyway, I assure you that I will be going to this circus when it opens and bring you more exciting pictures and stories… flying trapeze, daredevils, juggling clowns, horses, lions, elephants and women in beautiful costumes of course.

bohemian_oasis a.k.a. Myish,
Great to hear from the creative director herself. Please do update us when you have more info on the opening dates and just about anything else about the circus.
We all can’t wait to see the horses, elephants and all the other stunts!
Thanks.
[…] I guess you remember that earlier this month I told you The Royal London Circus is coming to Puchong. Well, now the creative director of the show came and must be delighted to see I did promotion for the circus and she cleverly decided to add some useful information about the circus opening times and ticket rates. I don’t want to comment about the ticket prices because I haven’t seen the show and not sure it’s worth it or not. […]
apologies dahling if you think i made your site sort of a launchpad– however i want to make clear that people are getting wrong information from our current website. that website is intended for our melaka stint.
i have not uploaded the new website since my connection is through wireless and it sucks.
Having a bohemian lifestyle (traveling from one place to another with 90 over containers, and horses and elephants as one of your neighbors) is hard to set-up an office that fast.
I’m glad I found your blog and I’m thankful you’re putting a plug for us.
Should you want to watch, I can give you discount. (this is for approving my post
) *winks*
another good news. Our opening will be on 8 august.

bohemian_oasis,
I thought you can give me a few free tickets because I am doing promotion for you. Haha…
I can’t wait for the show to open!
Cheers.
Neo, if you are under age of 12, you might get a free ticket from me…I’m becoming a ticket agent soon…
hehehehe. you are dominating the cyber marketing, adreenbp.
neo, hmm… free tickets? e-mail me your mobile number.
myish, i am just following your track…any other interesting website introduce to me?
Hello… can i know the venue?
Safura,
The circus is opening today itself 8 August 2007! Go catch the grand opening.
The venue is Taman Puchong Utama. It’s very easy to reach here. From IOI, you go straight towards Putrajaya/Kajang using the LDP. Soon you will notice a few petrol stations on your right. First, it’s Petronas, then Shell and then Mobil. This is indication for you to keep to your left, once you see a fly over, you go on it to make an u-turn and immediately after that take the first left turn. Pay attention to your left and I am sure you will be delighted to see the circus tent!
Cheers.
1st day of show, sure full-house. If anyone really interested in todays’ show, please call the hotline to ask first.
adreenbp,
Are you going to the show yourself? You got special pass is it?
Neo, yes, I have the special pass. Eventhough if I don’t have the pass, I will still buy a ticket-lar, since I am selling their tickets. So do you want to support me?
bohemian_oasis,
I have sent you an email, please let me know if you didn’t receive it.
If you didn’t notice, your website’s (http://www.royallondoncircus.com/) inside pages are not working. Click on the “door” on the homepage, it brings me to this Islamic Law page. Hope your webmaster can fix it asap as I guess there are a lot of customers on your website right now.
adreenbp,
How do you want me to support you? How about you support me by sponsoring me free tickets lar? Hahahaha, I like free stuff.
Cheers!
Neo,
As I told you before, I can provide you a free pass for children below age of 12 if you buy a ticket from me. I also provide special discount. These free pass & discount are not available at the site.
If I disclose more of my promotion tactic, you will claim that I am selling my ticket at your blog oledi…
[…] Guess what, one of the most happening place in the Klang Valley this month is no longer Bukit Bintang or Mutiara Damansara, but Puchong Utama, exactly the place where The Royal London Circus has setup a hugh tent to bring you unlimited circus excitement. For the past week when the circus first started, my friends have been asking me about the show. We haven’t been to a circus for years… the last time I visited one was perhaps 20 years ago when I was still a small toddler, the picture was very faint. Couldn’t really recall. […]
what happened to the elephant? Malnourished or sick or old? Soo skinny? Please do something dear London Circus! It won’t do to let happy children see such a sad animal. It’s depressing!
Dear Mr. Lau Kah Pew,
We appreciate your comment on the state of the elephant at The Royal London Circus. We took note your ascertion that the elephant is malnourished, sick, old, or skinny.
I wish to inform you that our elephant is far from what you think of.
We are the experts in animal care. Perhaps you may not realise, that the elephant cannot be overfed, or indulge in indiscriminate feeind, otherwise overnourished elephant can cause a serious danger to the animal, as well as members of the public, especially if they are under musks.
We welcome constructive criticism, which is why we put up a blog (our own blog, and not here. Apologies to you Neo), for the public to check and view.
I would therefore advise you to speak who is in the proper authority to speak on the caring on the elephant.
As of the comment for the animal being sad. We shall be greateful if you part your knowledge as you mindread the elephant. This knowledge will up us considerably provide further care to the animal

I am sadley told that The Royal London Circus has gone bust and that Mr Lee sold 70% just before this. I am all so told that staff had not been paid for a VERY LONG TIME.
PeeJay,
The performers not being paid by RLC? Nothing new. Been there done that. The animals in these pictures are a disgrace to all things Circus. Shame on anyone for defending their appearance. K
Myish is so woefully uninformed about anything to do with animal care and behavior it would be funny if the Elephant wasn’t in such dire and pitiful shape. Your logic about not feeding it because it would pose danger anyone once it was cared for correctly is totally untrue and pure fabrication. This is a glaring case of animal neglect. Anyone can clearly see it is not getting fed or cared for in even the most minimal way.
Please respond to me and show me the proof that this show is feeding and caring for this animal. Show me the paid bills for it’s feed and veterinary care. I already know you won’t because you can’t. If you could this animal would not be in the condition it is in.
I clicked on the notify option so please respond with something other than your worthless claims about how much I am uniformed about these animals. You are the one that is looking for a clue not me. Go ahead and prove you know what you are doing. I know you won’t be able to because you can’t. This is everything that is wrong with unqualified and uniformed show management attempting to display exotic animals. Seriously. Stop it.
HY…I WORKED THERE WITH THE ROYAL LONDON CIRCUS IN MAY 2000 TILL MAY 2002 LIKE MARIACHI BAND MUSICIAN. I WANT TO KNOW IF SOME ARTIST FROM THIS DATE ARE WORKING WITH YOU. I WISH TALK WITH THEM. THANK YOU.
