Awesome musical performance

Now that you have enjoyed a fabulous Teppanyaki lunch with me… but for those of you who have over enjoyed and spoilt your keyboard, my condolences to you, may you become more handsome and prettier with your new keyboard… we can now head on to this awesome musical performance by a group of Malay musicians in conjunction with the Merdeka celebration.
We could hear their loud music from afar and got attracted there to join the crowd…

There were four of them… Don’t be fooled by my lifeless picture here. In fact they did look not very energetic but the music were good. Crowd began to gather but what’s not so comfortable was that we were forced to stand. The management could do better by at least providing some benches for us, right or not?
I am not sure what were those musical instruments called, but I gather they were traditional Malay musical instruments. Perhaps with a little modifications here and there. It’s amazing how they can produce such wonderful music from these basic instruments. One of them is made of nothing but bamboos!

They performed a number of oldies and signature tunes. A couple of them I recognized but there were a couple which I couldn’t recall their names. A lot of shoppers stopped to support them… you can tell they enjoyed the music when they applauded really enthusiastically.
After the performance the audience were given a chance to check out the musical instruments themselves on the stage. The musician was there to give you pointers if you want to seek their advice. Overall a nice show to watch after a full filling lunch.
Make sure you watch the following videos live from One Utama…
