Hot-screensaver

Christmas is around the corner, and not surprisingly the crowd was heavy during this time of the year especially at shopping centers such as Mid Valley. I usually do not prefer going to crowded places because it could take hours to find a parking slot, and if you wanted to dine at the more affordable restaurants such as Mc Donalds, you could easily spent 30 minutes lining up. Unless you are willing to spend a little more for a more expensive meal such as at TGI.

Anyway, I somehow ended at Mid Valley last weekend. There was nothing much to do there except some window shopping, checking out chicks doing their Christmas shopping and of course taking photos!

That’s the Christmas decoration at Center Court this year. It consists of a few beautifully decorated Christmas trees, although they are not too tall, but they are beautiful. My photos here do not do justice to the quality of the decoration… I think I need to use a DSLR and wide angle lens to capture pictures like this. Time to get a DSLR for Christmas and New Year perhaps?

As usual, many shoppers stopped and took photos. Many were using small compact cameras such as mine.

View from the top. It’s amazing how the feel of a photo changes dramatically when viewed from a different angle. This photo taken from above looks colder and whiter. A feeling that it’s going to snow soon!

Santa Claus is coming to town.

At the North Court, there’s a slightly different theme where the main attractions were huge colorful mushrooms. These mushrooms were only found in fairy tales, but they sure bring lots of joy especially to the young ones. Many were seen taking photos here.

Later in the evening, there were some fairy tales musical performances. The crowd was so overwhelming that I couldn’t occupy a good spot for some photo shooting. The above was taken over somebody’s head.

So, there you are. Christmas decorations at Mid Valley Megamall. I read on some blogs that the decoration in 1 Utama is worth checking out. They have installed some sort of gigantic mechanical Mickey Mouse. Might check it out one of these days. Stay tuned!
