Pavilion KL and J.Co donuts
Jan 1st, 2008 by Neo
Some readers commented that they have never been to the most happening shopping mall in Malaysia, Pavilion KL, in my earlier post. Now, worry not. Since you are kind enough to leave a comment, now I shall bring you on a Pavilion tour for free.

That’s the entrance facing the bustling Jalan Bukit Bintang. Look at the spacious and futuristic design… can you see the reflective Pavilion logo on the glass facade? No wonder some say this shopping mall is comparable to New York’s 5th Avenue, and Tokyo’s Ginza.
Note. The lady in the picture is not my wife, although I did enjoy checking her out! Ho ho ho… love her cleavage!

Car lovers. Come have a closer look at the magnificent Jaguar on display right at the entrance. I am not a car fanatic, so I have no idea what sort of Jaguar is that. Is that the latest model which costs RM10k?… For one of the tire I mean.
Let’s get inside the mall. The whole Lower Ground of the mall was occupied by restaurants, cafes and a huge food court called Food Republic. But, most likely due to its a busy weekend, the whole level was jam packed with diners and shoppers until it’s near to impossible to find an empty seat!

The experience going round and round the food court was like looking for a car park slot in Mid Valley. No luck after two rounds. So, we were kind of forced to go to a more expensive restaurant. We ended up in Madam Kwan’s. Tried their fried kuey teow and spaghetti.
You look at the packed diners in the food court, you can imagine how long were the lines in front of J.Co donuts. Nope, didn’t bother to line up. For the time being, I always get my donuts supply from Dunkin’ Donuts. For J.Co, come back after 2 months.
After lunch, we took a walk around the mall aimlessly. Just window shopping and checked out whatever that we found interesting…

Guess what?! We saw Joanne Yeoh, a popular Malaysian violinist who has performed worldwide. Some of the popular stars she worked together with include Jacky Cheung in his “Music Odyssey Tour 2002/2003″, covering over 40 concerts around the world; and David Tao in his “Soul Power Tour 2003″, touring Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.

Just my pure luck to watch her violin performance in Pavilion. Although short, but it was great! A small crowd gathered to give their support.
I think that concludes today’s tour in Pavilion KL. For more pictures, you might want to adjourn to the see the Nike models.
Happy New Year 2008!
