Manhattan Fish Market

A few days ago I teased you all with a picture of a Jerk and asked you to guess where you can find the picture. Not many of you answered, but there is one correct answer nevertheless. Absolutely brilliant, I think Grace must be a great fan of Manhattan Fish Market! Otherwise how could she figure it out from a small picture like that?

Actually, this was my n-th time in MFM. Looks like I myself is a great fan of Manhattan Fish Market… couldn’t resist the aromatic fishes’ temptation!
This was in MFM Mid Valley. Pretty standard decoration, same as all the other branches.

A big LCD TV showing a recorded video of how the fishermen bring you the catch of the day. Notice the board at the lower right corner of the picture? That’s the Jerk picture I showed you earlier. There are many interesting and meaningful captions hanging in various positions in MFM. You will certainly enjoy them while waiting for your food to be served.
I have to put my name on the other end of the picture in order to make way so that you can see the board clearer.

We ordered seafood platter for two, and after 10 or maybe 15 minutes we were presented with this. Not bad. Look how the waiter burned and baked the platter with smoking hot flames.
Let me show you the mouth watering platter.

Oh my goodness, it’s so good and satisfying. The platter was made up of deep fried fish fillet, calamari, oysters, and prawns. Served together with chips and garlic rice. I particularly liked the prawns, very very nice indeed.

I absolutely loved everything in the platter, but I think the fries were slightly too much. It would be much better if they had more prawns and oysters instead. Anyway, I was basically fulled to the brim because I had to finish up everything as my girl is a small eater. Couldn’t afford to not finish them as the platter was pricey. RM42.90, for the record.
Brought to you from Manhattan Fish Market, Mid Valley.

We just had MFM during Xmas. But I am thinking it is not as nice as last time~ It is getting common~ haha…
It’s kinda embarassing but I seriously used to think that MFM is really a market where you can get fresh meat.
de one in de curve was really good.. but we tried at the one in klcc for xmas, n it was so so only.. de salmon was too oily!
last time I always thought manhattan fish market sells fish from manhattan. Well, that was me when I was young.
Been an ardent fan of fish and chips, maybe I should try there one day!!
It’s a wild guess, Neo! Because of the “shopping mall” hint you had given out. I’ve only been to MFM once in Ikano with my sister.
Wah you patron MFM nth time liao? Me ar…I think 3 times only…wuakakkaa
Sean,
You went to MFM too many times liao.
hcfoo,
Maybe, but not in Malaysia.
Fluffy,
Oh… is that so? I haven’t been to MFM the Curve, nor KLCC. But I guess I can’t tell the difference also even if I went to both the restaurants.
Grace,
Smart girl!
Che-Cheh,
3 times can also consider as n-th. N = 3.
[…] no this time we didn’t go to Manhattan Fish Market for dinner, instead we booked a court in MBA for a badminton session. There were only 5 of us, but […]

unsatisfactory service
today, 13th june 2008 at about 6.30pm my family and i went to your outlet in jaya jusco seremban. we ordered 2 fish & chips, 1 baked fish with garden herbs, bowl of mussels and 2 drinks.
we were served with the mussels and after finishing we did not receive any drinks. there were 5 waiters around but none was near enough for us to call upon them. as we looked we saw them playing catch in the kitchen and behind the counter. no other customers were at the shop.
after several times trying to draw attention from them we finally managed to sign them for our drinks from far. when the main course arrived my wife was disappointed to find that she was served with a different baked fish although the person who took the order repeated our orders twice. when inquired about the mistake the waitress merely apologize.
MFM was our favorite eating place but after this incident we have decided that we would pay RM 92++ to sushi king or chicken rice shop with cheaper cost and excellent service.
We just had our dinner at Manhattan Fish Market Boulevard last week .
The food was great !!!!
