Payment from Advertlets

One of the hottest topic on Technorati and even on the entire Internet right now is Advertlets. I am sure by now you have read on numerous blogs that Advertlets.com domain name had expired a couple of days ago. How could this sort of thing happen to a blog advertising company? How can you let your domain name expire and not only that, took you so long to renew it? Even right now while I am writing this, the site is still down showing the following parking page.
Looks like they are using a popular registrar called DirectI.com. Usually registrars will email you one or even three months before the domain expiry to remind you to renew your domain name. And they will follow up with a few more reminder emails afterwards… don’t tell me nobody read these emails in Advertlets. Blame it on plain forgetfulness then?
Or maybe it’s a smart trick to become one of the hottest searches on Technorati… apart from Chua Soi Lek. 
I did a whois search. Looks like they may have renewed the domain name and is now waiting for the propagation to take effect throughout the Internet. This may take a few more hours… we shall wait and see what Josh Lim has to say about all this then. That must be interesting for yet another hot topic on Malaysian blogosphere.
I found this URL, but can’t seems to view it because of the slow domain propagation.
Advertlets.com were sorry.
However, I am still cool about all these because I have already withdrawn my payment from Advertlets a month ago! Hahaha… now I can laugh!
That was the check from Advertlets. Similar with the check from Nuffnang (Advertlets’ main competitor in Malaysia and Singapore), they issue their payment through HSBC. The design of the check was quite different from that of Nuffnang though. It’s a small check, but I was totally happy that I was paid. I requested payments from Nuffnang and Advertlets at the same time, but it took the latter one month longer to process the payment compared to Nuffnang. I only received the check last month.
So, Advertlets does pay! I think their site should be coming back on again in a short while today. Are you going to trust your beloved website/blog in their hands again and put back the Advertlets codes?

according to the poll I conducting now, as of 2pm? 07 Jan, 57% said they will drop Advertlets.
Anyway, I’ve return to Advertlets (their ads already running), simply because money.
I did. I put their codes back but apparently, my readers in Penang can’t view my page still. Had to remove them. Haih. Fed up.
Oh I c, I thought they close shop! *Laugh*

I have to agree Advertlet pays pennies. But, it’s still money, so I guess it’s likely I will still put up their ads.

Internet propagation could take up to 2 days. Wait a little longer and try again.

You are referring the withdrawal as in, you have received the cheque or you simply have clicked the “Cash Out” option a month ago?

Not yet it seems. I think the site is coming up slowly… I mean just need to wait for the DNS or nameservers to be refreshed/updated, then we can see the site again.

Oh, I have received the check last month. Clicked on the “Cash Out” button 2 or 3 months before that. Took them very long to process a freaking check.
But I still cant open Advertlets website. Maybe my Firefox still save the cache. Lol… Btw how much did you cash out?
We noticed it too from our end here in HK. At first I thought all of your blogs were hacked…..till I read ‘Advertlets’. Annoying would be an understatement.

What happened to Adverlets? Domain name expired on Jan 03 08. And all the my blogspot posts (with Adverlets ads) here had been diverted on Jan 04 08. I thought ALL my posts have been hijacked and complained to Blogger.com. Then I realized other blogspot posts were similarly affected. And details emerged they are NOT paying. What a nasty thing for www.adbaaz.com to do using an advertising/parking page.
It was very annoying without any proper explanation. We cannot access your own blog and sign in. The problem was solved by deleting all reference to Adverlets codes in the template.
And now Nuffnang is making a killing and finish off Adverlets by having “exclusive Nuffnang bloggers” in their Nuffnang Glitterati club – effective Jan 13 08
An exclusive Nuffnang blogger is a blogger that has no advertisements from any other ad network that originates from South East Asia on his/her blog.
