Proton Malaysia Open 2008
Jan 9th, 2008 by Neo
Good news for all badminton fans. Proton Malaysia Open is here again. If you are reading this, I am sure you are a badminton fanatic yourself and have been following the developments in Malaysian badminton. Last year I was at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Statium, Cheras to support Malaysian players. But too sad, I didn’t see many Malaysian players, most of them were sent back home already! Read more Malaysia Open 2007.
I am sure you are as excited as I am, and want to join the fun too. The venue this time will be Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil. I think this place is much better than the stadium in Cheras. Bukit Jalil not only has plenty of parkings, it is closer to my place too and the traffic is less jam. Date will be 15-20 January 2008.
Have you got the tickets? I have bought mine early to make sure I see Wong Mew Choo! Yohoo….

My ticket was bought from the above Axcess Box Office, which is located at B1, 1Utama Shopping Mall. Frankly, it’s not easy to locate this ticketing box as it took me quite a while to realize there were two separate lots in B1. I had to seek help from a security guard.
Tickets for the qualifying rounds are free - FOC! Yes, that includes the premium seats which are closest to the courts… so close you can see pimples on Lin Dan’s face.
Check out the seats layout and pricing chart below.

Ah, me bad. Lin Dan is actually not playing this time. I think this will give Lee Chong Wei more chances of making it right this time. LCW, I support you, don’t disappoint us! Show Taufik Hidayat, Bao Chun Lai and Pete Gade what you are made of!
Even if you lost, hope you will not lose to players other than these.
So, what are you waiting for? Go buy your tickets at Axcess Tickets. Best is purchase the Premium tickets so that you can see the shuttle cocks clearly and so that you can see how LCW does his tricky shots. Learn from Malaysia number one at a cost of RM35 (semi finals) and RM45 (finals). Worth it or not you say?
