Kuala Kangsar clock tower
Feb 12th, 2008 by Neo
I was in the Kuala Kangsar town the other night, but what’s surprising was there wasn’t any traffic at all… believe it or not, it was as early as 11pm. The whole town was so quite and peaceful… not many people on the street except those in a 7-Eleven store and some patients in a 24-hour clinic.
Anyway, what caught my attention was the brightly decorated historical clock tower which stands at the roundabout at the heart of Kuala Kangsar town.

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, the clock tower was decorated with thousands of brightly lit bulbs. The view was amazingly beautiful. Luckily I had my camera with me, otherwise you never know when you will have another opportunity next time.

Too bad I didn’t bring my tripod with me, or else I could have shot some nicer shots using the night mode. Most of the photos you seen here are done with Auto mode, where the camera automatically sets what it thinks best.

Closer look at the clock. Can you see the time? 11:15pm. But…

… on the other side, the clock showed 12:45am. Spoiled I suppose. How could the local council people neglect to repair the clock on such a festive time?
