Polling day photos
Mar 11th, 2008 by Neo
I know Malaysia’s 12th General Election was over but I still want to post up the following photos which I took on the polling day itself. I was a little too busy to blog for the past few days so the photos stayed in my camera but now I have to post them up for the world to see. The girl you see in this picture made me promise that I will post her picture up.

Look how happy she was, but I am sure she will be happier to see her photo on one of Malaysia’s most popular blog! Hahahah… But then I didn’t tell her I was from Hot Screensaver, she might think I was from The Star or some other newspaper for I with my DSLR hanging from my neck and my camera bag, I did look like a reporter.

Banners were everywhere.
It was just after noon, and as expected at this time the weather was really hot. Sun on top of my head. No vehicles were allowed beyond a check point which was like 300 meters away from the polling station. I pressed on…

I was extremely delighted to find this hawker selling assortments of refreshing drinks which include tau fu fa and soya milk. Nothing beats having a cold glass of chilled soya milk under the shade of his mobile stall. The 300 meters walk seemed so tiring under the hot sun… anyway I reached shortly after and took a few more photos.

This was how it looked like at the Barisan Nasional camp. Everyone was extremely sporting and asked me - the reporter - to take a photo for them. You know, for the chance of being featured on Hot Screensaver.

Who would have thought the Barisan Nasional would lost so badly in Selangor this time?… Really unexpected. Myself can’t imagine seeing new faces such as Tony Pua and Loh Gwo Burne, the maker of the VK Lingam video.
