My variety of fans
May 2nd, 2008 by Neo
Bengbeng would like to see how many fans I have. What a weird fetish, but since today it’s Friday and I have nothing much to write… people call this a blogger’s block… I guess I will just grant his wish then. In Malaysia, it’s not surprising for a house to have tonnes of fans, even more natural for people like me who sweats buckets.

Trust me. I have three of the above fan in my living room alone. No that I have a big living room, but the three is necessary to cool down every corner of the place.
It’s a 5-blades remote-controlled fan. Made in China I guess. The problem with having 3 of them in the same room is that the signal from the remote control gets received by all the fans, and thus all of them will on and off at the same time. Unless of course if you turned their switch off at the main switch on the wall.

I have this 4-bladed fan in my study room. Since the study room is pretty small, this fan is enough to cool off the whole room, but occasionally I need the help of the air-conditioner especially in the hot afternoons.
OK, all these are very ordinary and nothing to shout about but check out this one…

Haha… high or not? The ceiling at my upper floor family area is so high until we had to specifically order a long rod to hang the ceiling fan otherwise the wind will never reach us! I think the rod is several meters long.
The beauty of having such a spacious (vertically) family hall is it will be cooler.

The other fan I have is this fan cum lights all-in-one which is fixed at my car porch. Apart from its purpose as a fan, it also doubles as a light as I have only one wiring at that point. Ingenious solution right or not?!
Shhh… this is the most expensive piece of fan in my house and I have it installed in my car porch.

Of course, I have table fans as well. Not one but two. Nothing much to say about table fans apart from the fact that they are very portable and you can place it wherever you want even in the loo.
Okay, thank you for liking all the variety of fans in my house.

Abeku,
Those are illusions only. hahaha… Anyway, you mean the 3rd photo? That ceiling fan was installed by the contractor who renovated my house, and when they did it I wasn’t there, but I guess they used a ladder to reach to the ceiling.
