Cocorich fashion show and model shoot

It was such a tiring Saturday because Futuromic, a well known distributor of photography and imaging equipments in Malaysia had the day packed with wonderful events for Photography enthusiasts like myself. It was lined with photography talks by someone whom I couldn’t recall his name, to fashion shows and model shoots.
Of course our focus was all on the beautiful models. It was such a race opportunity to be able to take their photographs at such a close distance! Let me share with you some of the photos.
This photo shows one of the famous model, Qiqi showing off a dress from Cocorich. Oh yeah, you can’t see the dress, hor… doesn’t matter, you will in some other photos. 
Another model with a red Wowweez dress. Not sure what’s her name though. If you happen to know, please do let us know yeah.
There were a lot of professional photographers and maybe many more DSLR enthusiasts turned up for this fashion show and model shot. Most of them came equipped with a bag full of gears which include huge lenses, flash and diffusers. A few of them brought tripods too!
Out of all the 6 or 7 models, I like this one the best. She is absolutely smart and a talented model. She could be sweet… and before you know it… she can act cute too!
Look how cute she is! I am sure this pose alone had made the whole day’s tiredness gone! So happy I was standing right in front of her when she pulled this pose and I was able to capture a few shots with direct eye contacts! I nearly got electrified as a result!
Anyway, I am sure they had great fun as much as we did! Look at this pretty model, don’t you think she looks absolutely awesome and full of confidence?!
The fun part about this model shoot session was that we were allowed to ask the models to strike whatever poses we want! Well, maybe because most of them are still a little inexperienced… especially after seeing such a huge eager horde of photographers with huge flashing speedlights! Like machine guns!
This was a stunt requested by one of the photograph hunters, and of course we were glad that she pulled it off immediately. Needless to say countless flashes that fired like machine guns followed. It was a great sight to be there.
I like the way she touched her lip with her finger… nice. It could be nicer if she was a little sluttier though. Haha…
This was a show organized by Futuromic and Cocorich, so naturally they tried to promote the cameras as well. This is another beautiful model with her favorite compact camera. Does the photo above tempt you to buy the camera in her hand? She will give you a hug if you bought that from her.
Well, of course I took many photos like all the other photographers. Most of them turned out all right, and a couple were under exposed.
I have posted here some of the photos to share with you, should you have any comments, please do post them… but do not shoot me hard because I am still a beginner in this kind of photography. There are still many things to learn…

No need to pay at all unless you want to buy those camera gears on promotion at the same location. Naturally at such an event, they have various camera on promotion. Gears include those from Nikon, Samsung, Tamron, Philips, Sony and a few others.

shucks. i didn’t even know an event like this was happening. how do you keep up-to-date? i’m a photo enthusiast and i’ve been looking for opportunities to shoot event and models (without needing to pay an exorbitant amount, of course). =) adding your blog to my readables. hope it’s ok.

Actually the models came down on the floor and allowed us to shoot from very near distance. You can go as near as you want. However, when they were performing on the stage, you have to zoom in to capture close up photos.
