Photo Week at Maju Junction
Jun 17th, 2008 by Neo
Last week I had such a good weekend because I totally enjoyed myself with lots of shutter clicks! I lost count of how many photos I took but a rough estimate would be in the hundreds and this I believe was normal because the other photographers who joined the Photo Week was seen clicking non stop too! In fact they were much more hungry then me, firing non stop like a machine gun!

I was a little late as Maju Junction isn’t my normal territory, so I made a couple of wrong turns before I finally got there. The fashion and model show had already started. What to do, I had to squeeze in and shot between heads. There were heads everywhere.

OK, probably you are not interested in men’s fashion show. Even his professional silat stance doesn’t interest you? No worries, I have this sweet young Malay girl with her colorful Malay traditional costume.

Trust me, flashes were every where now… shoot shoot shoot. Some photographers were standing on ladders and some were on chairs.
The photo above is much better? No? How about this sweet young thing?

Obviously, she isn’t a model yet as she was quite nervous on the stage. She didn’t really know where to put her hands, show her face, show her confidence in herself… but nevertheless we gladly supported her by shooting non stop still. Anyway, her courage to go onto the stage in front of so many photographers was much appreciated.
Let me show you one portrait shot which I took after the fashion show.

Don’t you love her big eyes and long eye lashes?
This photo was taken in a Nikon Creative Lighting System setup, the same one in which I took the pictures of Niza and Nini.
Wanna see more photos and perhaps Ted Adnan in action? Stay tuned next!

a bit too much hue? watch the skin tone..
no skin colour - all the humans look pale..
but nice photos and angles though! esp love the last one - very classic.
maybe it’ll work on sepia effect better.
great work, neo!!
who says i’m not interested in men’s fashion? as a lady, i am! this man’s costume is so colourful!
next time, new, give us your ladies visitors chance to view male dancers or male models.
btw, hope you and your readers would please support us in benar by signing the memorandum for free information.
For me, the photo are over expose..i think because your are late and did not get a better angle. How come you lost? .I am not sure whether it is due to the lighting system or what. All the photo got shadow and the composition a bit unbalance. Is the First and last photo shot at the same location?Ermm…i just wonder your taste …hahahhaha……Joking only bro.
Hi Neo.. Nice photos.. hope to see more.
when are you going to show us those nudie pictures you’ve taken?
Neo,
What focal length did you use for 1st photo?
I thought the 3rd photo was well-framed.
It this Photo Week a weekly thing?
ehon,
I applied cooling photo filter to counter the warm colors. Too much ah?
lucia,
I will show you some male models next. Stay tuned!

Focal length was 52mm. I stood near and I cropped the photo. Next time I use a macro lens and shoot her eyes only. Or maybe the lips?
