Super GT Race Queens 2008 Kotomi Kurosawa and Ayami Sasaki
Jun 23rd, 2008 by Neo
It was such a wonderful Sunday, not only I tanned myself under the scorching hot sun, I got to meet the legendary Super GT Race Queens 2008 Kotomi Kurosawa and Ayami Sasaki. The crowd, especially the photographers were obviously very early and flocked the mobile stage. Luckily I came prepared this time and I was one of the earliest birds, waiting under the scorching sun with nothing but a towel covering my head.

We waited for no less than 45 minutes because somehow the performance was delayed slightly. However, there wasn’t a single word of complaint as the performance from Kotomi Kurosawa and Ayami Sasaki, who are more widely known as Tomie and Amie (or Tomi and Ami?) was really awesome!

There you go, I told you it was a mobile stage. Built on a trailer.
The whole place immediately became burning hot, the crowd were cheering, the photographers clicked away, and Tomie and Amie danced happily on the stage!

That’s Ayami Sasaki with a jump stance!
Although I was very early and managed to secure a near spot but it was still very difficult to capture a nice shot. The mobile stage was still too far away for my 200mm maximum focal lengh lens. The place was also very bright and that overexposed some of my picture.

The shorter of the two, Kotomi Kurosawa, was very impressive with her swift and yet elegant moves! That got the decibels from the crowd to the highest point!

Just in case you wonder, Tomie and Amie are the ambassadors and key promoters for Super GT. Both of them were leading the other GT Queens at the various roadshows throughout the country prior to the Race Day, and of course on the presentation on Race Day itself.

How I wish I was on the stage instead of this lucky dude, who received an authorgraphed DVD from the GT Qeens’ hands. Not to mention this will make a great photo with them flanking me.

abeku,
I think I was about 4 or 5 meters from the stage. If I had a pass, I could go up to 1 meter from the stage, and not only that, can also shoot up-wards.
ahlost,
No, only race queens.
Raymond Chan,
I am a newbie photographer, so whenever my photos do not look right I will blame it on anything I but my skills.
Anston,
More lenglui coming!
I like Tomie more!
[...] event at Sepang F1 Circuit because there were so many things to see. Other than the hot and spicy race queens, there were brand ambassadors such as Joey and Bobo from Motor Trader, and of course not to forget [...]
