Japanese race queens at Sepang Race Circuit
Jun 26th, 2008 by Neo
I believe I have talked too much about this Super GT event already. If you are still uninformed, you can read and out more pictures in my previous posts here, here and here. I have shown you the local brand ambassadors, Super GT race queens, and of course the race cars.
Now, it’s the time for the rest of the race queens to greet you!

You might wonder how on earth I could get such a close up photo with the race queens. Well, the answer is that they were shot at the pit stop area. Photographers were given about 45 minutes at the pit area, but it wasn’t sweet at all as there were too many of us. Instead, there was too much sweat flying around. Can you see that even the girl above was sweating?

Everybody wanted to shoot at a good angle. Everybody was also trying to get the attention of the race queens who were standing or posing at a distance from us, perhaps about 2 meters away. Well, if you could speak Japanese, it would definitely be an advantage, otherwise a simply “hello, miss please look here” might work as well, especially if you had a huge gun (dSLR and lens) and more handsome than the others.
I was totally glad that many of the race queens looked right into me when I took their pictures. Haha…

That’s how it looked like. Beautiful Japanese chicks at one side, and many more hungry photographers at the other side. Any idea why almost all photographers here were male? I did see a few females though.
Okay, enough of talking from me. I know it’s very boring. I shall then let the race queens talk to you in Japanese.

Girls from the ENEOS team.

This bunch were not the prettiest, but they were cute!

Sexy!

One of the prettiest!
I think I better keep the rest of the photos to myself, otherwise you might get nose bleed or worse still get heart attack. Haha… oh, I did bump into this NTV7 reporter who was busy interviewing this chun photographer.

Now, before we say “bye-bye”, let’s shoot from the back.

Nice angle? ![]()

The last picture - how did you manage to shoot from the back?
Race queen sweating? Maybe you should have hold the umbrella for her ;P

Tell you what, the best angle is from the bottom, haha!
Looks like there were more girls than in F1, maybe one day we shall get to see a topless race queen in Sepang Circuit
Che-Cheh,
The length of the skirt is just nice, any shorter I will get nose bleed attack!
Raymond Chan,
Yes, I like the first one too. The model was good, although she was sweating but she still hanged on.
piju,
Some day…
Khengsiong,
You need a pit walkabout ticket. There was a gap between the different sections and I just went in la.
abeku,
Too many people came for the hot pics and caused server to jam up.
jam,
I need a hidden cam for that.
Hi one more question:
What was the focal length you used?
Khengsiong,
Different picture different focal lengths. Only if I had that Nikon 200mm f2.8 lens…
Neo,
You enable ‘properties’ in your flickr page, then I can check for the EXIF data.
200mm? (-_-”) I only have Sigma 17-70. Is it too short?
Khengsiong,
Sigma 17-70mm. Yes, it’s not flexible enough, but should be OK for general use. In situations where you want to zoom for a close up, you will hit the limitations.
Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 is very good for shooting events like this! Or if you prefer something cheaper, consider Sigma’s.
Pricing estimate…
Tele-zoom lens:
Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 = RM6,000
Sigma 70-200 f2.8 = RM4,000
Wide lens:
Nikkor 17-55 f2.8 = RM4,800
Tamron 17-50 f2.8 = RM1,500
Which one you wanna get?
