Break dance performance
Jul 1st, 2008 by Neo
Right after I reached 100 shots at the Malaysia Dog Olympic Day 2008, I headed over to One Utama shopping center, thinking of getting myself some refreshment to quench my thirst. It was a thirsty outing at the Central Park although it rained earlier.
To my surprise, there were hordes of young people gathered in front of the One Utama side entrance! I knew something was on and I quickly joined them.

It was hot but great. Some youths, mostly Malays were obviously break dancing and many more gathered to either cheer them or to take photos. Needless to say, I immediately squeezed in and fired my shots!
That was a nice break dance performance by a group called Cinta Bboy.

One of the member of the group performing a one handed float. I hope “float” is the correct name, I don’t know nothing about break dance, OK. Whatever the correct name is, the move looks really tough because the breaker needs to balance and support his weight on his single arm.
I respect you if you could “stand” like that for 10 seconds, unless you know shaolin kungfu of course.

This looks like a failed move? Why put your head on the floor? Haha… too heavy I guess.
Shoot shoot shoot…

This was another nice performance brought to us by Funkafaction. I think these stance is called “Shuffle”. Frankly I have never heard of this group before and neither do I know what is shuffle. I hope I got the name correct, do correct me if I was wrong. I no more youth, so even if I was wrong it’s all OK. Hehe…

These young people looked really cool with their white masks and gloves, don’t you think so? But, don’t ask me why their pants were like that lar, haha… too casual.
Since you wasn’t there, I purposely recorded a video for you. Nice or not?
Okay, that’s about it for the teaser for today. Do stay tuned for more photos tomorrow… I will show you one very important people (VVIP) who officiated the event too! Don’t miss it.

Last time I saw a group of B-boys at Giant Kinrara, almost burst into tears because those kids can’t dance at all. These group you have seems more like B-boys though… at least they can do the ‘one handed float’ (whatever…), which seems pretty cool.
