Miss Hypertune 2008

The highlight of the Plug and Play Youth Festival was not the Hop2DaBeat 08 street dance competition, but it was the Miss Hypertune 2008 contest! I believe this was the main reason why there were so many photographers around. Haha… one brother even brought his strobe light complete with reflective umbrella! Not too sure on the names for these items, but I suppose you know what I mean. These tools produce better lighting for photography!
These were the six finalists for this year’s Miss Hypertune. All of them looked great and beautiful.
That’s the final of the finals… we had a tie between these two girls and so they had to answer some additional questions where the one with the better answers would be the winner. The organizers obviously didn’t foresee this and had a hard time cracking questions for them. Some questions were too difficult and some were too easy! 
Oh yes, you noticed her all right. She was indeed Elaine Tang, the freelance model who joined us in our Putrajaya outing not too long ago. Elaine answered the tricky questions slightly better and was crowned as the first runner up.
Let’s meet the other finalists.
Azah, the tallest of them all. She was the champion of the night and was crowned as the Miss Hypertune 2008! She was I think judges like tall girls, eh?
Particia. Very beautiful and lovely indeed. She lost the first runner up position to Elaine simply because she failed to spell “Hypertune” in the reverse order correctly, within 5 seconds. Nerves, nerves, nerves!
Pei Pei. Petite and cute girl. But in this particular picture she looks a little cool, … blame it on bad photography.
Felicia, another petite and cute girl.
And of course, we have Huiby, flanked by Elaine and Azah. I met Huiby recently in Japan Super GT.

There you are, the six finalists again with their winnings of the night. By this time, it was already close to midnight, everyone was tired but I believe we all had a great time!

2ndly, this is not Ms Hypertune. This is a pageant in conjunction with Plug N Play. Ms Hypertune is bigger and better and it will be happening end of the year! *waits anxiously*

the taller you are, the higher chances judges will see you.. provided that the judges are tall enough to see Azah… Azah, congrate…Neo, good coverage… Others, nice comment & participation…

In the event list of Plug N Play, I thought I did saw the Miss Hypertune contest, and you look at the shirts they were wearing… wasn’t that Hypertune clearly printed on their shirts?
