Nikon D700 DSLR
Aug 4th, 2008 by Neo
Have you seen the latest dSLR from Nikon? The camera which is code named Nikon D700, is truly an awesome beast. Needless to say this latest camera packs all the latest features such as 12.1 megapixel FX format CMOS censor, integrated dust reduction system, 51-point AF with 15 cross-type censors, 5fps continuous shooting capability, live view ISO up to 6400 and many more. However, all these are nothing compared to exclusive photos of these two funny brothers playing with it like it was their girlfriends.

Wait, can you recognize this brother here? He was no ordinary person, as he’s our photography guru, Andrew Boey, a Nikon Product Evangelist in Malaysia.
Haha, couldn’t believe it… he was such a funny person!
“Hello, hello… can you hear me?…”

Anyway, can’t blame them for behaving like boys playing with their girlfriends. This is because this D700 was equipped with a really cool lens, 300mm f2.8 mounted on a steady tripod. Look at that huge lens barrel!
I believe everyone who was at the Nikon, Nikonian & Cocorich event at IKANO Power Center had fallen in love with this combination!
There you are two pictures for you today. Stay tuned for the model photos! Tonnes of them. ![]()

How much is it? Btw what’s your dslr brand? I lupa liao.
it’s going to be bulky to bring that out… along with the bazooka lens..
Heard a lot about the new D700. An awesome beast indeed!
Just bought a 50mm lens. Such a expensive hobby this is. Wallet got hit but heart’s content.
yummy. still saving up for this.
Woah~ Nikon D700!!!
I can’t hardly wait to test it, c is it worth to invest or not! Muahaha…
Che-Cheh,
You are interested to get the dSLR? I think the Nikon D700 body only is about RM9000. Brand new camera, just launched 1st August 2008 in Malaysia! Less than RM10k, very affordable for you.
Mine is Nikon D80. An entry level dSLR only, a bit regret as I should have gotten myself the D300.
nic,
Of course you won’t be carrying that lens all the time. You only bring this lens to certain events such as in Beijing capturing Lee Chong Wei in action. Oh, perhaps you need a tripod too unless you have biceps like Jacky Chan!
cc,
50mm is the cheapest but best lens money can buy.
steph,
Good luck. This dSLR is beyond my reach.
Anston,
Oh you should get Nikon D3. Ah, don’t forget that 300mm f2.8.
Yea it is, I’m totally in love with it.
so when are you getting it so I can borrow it?
Those are for professional photographer.. People like me no la.. camera phone enough liao/..
Neo,
It is no use to buy a D300 if you continue to rely on your Sigma superzoom. Get yourself a good lens instead.
I wanted to get D80 at first too.. But since most of my friends are using Canon .. so, i opted for 400D instead.
So expensive
I want one…
Neo,
You may want to consider the upcoming D90. It can shoot video
Khengsiong,
All good lens costs more than RM5000. No budget yet. Haha… D90, will check it out. But, I don’t think I am upgrading anytime soon, like you say, a good lens is more important.
ahlost,
Should bought that Mark IIID or something like that.
narrowband,
You are on the Canon side la, get that Mark IIID.
[…] that you have seen the latest Nikon dSLR, the super expensive D700, it’s time for me to share more photos from the Nikon, Nikonian and Cocorich photography […]
All good lenses cost more than RM5,000? Not necessary wor… Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 is just around RM1,500. Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 should be less than RM5,000 too. Of course Nikkor will be expensive.
Khengsiong,
Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 is a value for money lens, but the Nikkor one is the better one. Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 is also a value for money lens which is fairly good I suppose, but undeniably the Nikon or Nikkor one is much better. Thus I say all good lenses cost more than RM5,000. But then, the Nikon 50mm f1.8 is a cheap but good lens.
I don’t think I’ll ever get myself a dSLR. So mar fan to bring a big camera out just to capture some pictures.
But for those who blog about food or like camwhoring should get one though.
And of course a photoblogger like Neo
U are a professional or semipro photographer, aren’t you?
