Petronas Twin Towers
Aug 9th, 2008 by Neo
I certainly do not want to turn this blog into a photo blog where all the photos are of pretty babes. So, today I will show you some photos of the tallest building in this region… and possibly the tallest twin towers in the world. Is the Petronas Twin Towers still the tallest twin towers in the world? Your homework for today is to check that and let me know… the Burj Dubai isn’t a twin towers, right?

Nice or not? OK, please say it’s “not too bad”.
These photos were taken last week when I went to the PC Fair at KL Convention Center. The traffic outside of KLCC was as usual at times like that, jam packed. Anyway, I was lucky to find a parking space at the outdoor parking area just in front of the Petronas Twin Towers.

While I was walking towards KL Convention Center, I stopped a couple of times to take the above shots. So, most of them were just point and shoot. Nothing much to show you… I posted them up just to break the posts after posts of chicks photos posts.
The sky could have been more blue in a tropical country like Malaysia. Perhaps we need to put on a polarizing filter?

That’s the view of the KLCC park at the evening. Very calm and you could see a lot of people either jogging or just enjoying the beautiful view.
A great deal of details are lost in the picture, especially in the twin towers’ building. Perhaps it’s time to explore HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography…
Okay, talking about these two towers, maybe you would like to check out this French Spiderman, Alain Robert who tried to scale Petronas Tower 2 in March 2007. The video was captured at level 59 by some people who worked in the tower I suppose.
Sadly, Alain failed at the 60th floor when the Malaysian authorities caught him, much like how he ended his first attempt in 1997 when he climbed there for the first time. Read more about him, on his website.

Have you been to the sky-bridge?
singgah sini kejap malam ni. hehe bila la malaysia nak dapat gold medal kat olympic beijing ni eh. hehe
Yeap, I think a circular polarising filter would do the trick
I got mine a couple of days ago but never got the chance to play with it yet.
I would love to see more photos n historical places like what you did with the old train station.
eeeee… FHM no more..? haha… i prefer the night scene of KLCC ^^.. i like its lighting… can take some for us? :p

I got CPL but don’t see a lot of difference. The effect is too subtle.
If the clouds are white, CPL won’t turn them blue.
Actually there is another way to get a blue sky: avoid facing the sun (i.e. backlighting).
If the sun is behind the Twin Towers in late afternoon, wait until the next morning.
A good photographer is a patient photographer.
it’s such a nice picture
