Durian season is here again… but these days perhaps durian is no longer a seasonal fruit as this King of Fruit is available throughout the year. Although prices of fuel and everything else are increasing (for the past few months), but prices of durians are relatively low compared to two years ago.
A friend was in Raub (劳勿) with his members for a durian feast. Too bad as I wasn’t able to join him but I didn’t forget to ask him to harvest some durians back! Here, let me show you some durian photos.

What do you think? Does this Raub durian looks exceptionally good and different from those RM10 a pack you see in Giant or RM10 durians you always see at road sides?
Not enough to make your mouth water?… let’s open them and let the aroma attack you!

Look at that golden yellowish flesh! The degree of ripeness is perfect and the nice aroma I believe not only make everyone water two buckets, it can also be felt by the whole neighborhood!
Wanna taste it? Come closer…

Yummy! “‘Mausang King” from Raub! RM10 a KG.
On a side note, I am absolutely elated as Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei is through into the semifinals at the Beijing Olympics, after beating Indonesian, Sony Dwi Kuncoro 21-9, 21-11. Lee was very fit and fast on the court. The win must be a really good revenge for his defeat to the latter last year. In the 2007 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, he was downed by the Athens bronze medalist as early as the third round.
I am looking forward to his next match, which will be against either Bao Chun Lai from China or Lee Hyun Il from South Korea.
One more thing, I wonder when will he tie the knot with Wong Mew Choo. ![]()
