Wendy’s fast food restaurant
Oct 2nd, 2008 by Neo
Have you tried out Wendy’s yet? If you haven’t then quickly go try out while they are still pretty new in Malaysia… when they are still new they should taste better.
As of now, I think they have opened three outlets in Malaysia, namely in Sunway Pyramid, IOI Mall, and the third one I just can’t recall where already. You let me know if you knew, OK.
Although Wendy’s is a very popular international chain of fast food restaurants, they were brought in this country not too many moons ago I guess. This afternoon, weather was fine, traffic was superb, so we decided to pop in to Wendy’s to have our lunch.

I had Wendy’s Supreme Grilled Chicken combo. The grilled chicken was superb, at least it’s much fresher and juicier compared to McDonalds McChicken. Haha… maybe because everything new feels better.

The other combo we had was the Supreme Shrimp combo, which came complete with a shrimp burger, a packet of small fries and a small coke. Wow, they didn’t put ice in the coke, now I wonder if this is their usual practice at Wendy’s or it was just this time they forgot to do it?

Their fries was pretty good too, much fatter than those at McDonalds. But, my top favorite fries is still R&W’s. Haha… nothing beats their curly fries.

Now, this fast food restaurant offers something very unique. They have Baked Potatoes! Hahaha… cute! Must order and try! So, we had baked potatoes, and there are a few flavors or toppings to choose from… we simply opted for Broccoli and Cheese! Haha… it turned out to be a little too bland for my liking. Not sure about you, perhaps someday you can try and let me know.
Their brochure says that they are going to have new branches at various places soon. So, look out for Wendy’s at your area and give them a try someday!
They say: It is not just about fast food, it is fresh food - made fast.
Cheers, and enjoy your Hari Raya holidays! ![]()

You take great photos! I tried the baked potato before and it doesn’t look as nice as your photo :p
Nice Photos indeed! Should sell them to Wendy’s, looks much more appetizing than their menu
I think the other Wendy’s is in PJ Jaya One.
i have sending a post to you.i want you check back at your super gt thread.
i hope you reply my post.
yaya, new thing to try out when i got back to peninsular!
1u doesn’t have ar??
Wendy tastes nice onot? did you actually find her & lick her?
Hahaha (pointing to Wuching’s comment)
I’ve not heard of Wendy’s before.
Do you know that I study MBA in UTAR, PJ campus? There is a Wendy’s opposite the campus, in Jaya One.
Sometimes I want to have a quick dinner before attending the evening class, and I dine at Wendy’s. It’s like I go there once every week. Anyway, I think I prefer Wendy’s to McD.
like new toilet bowl?
me had there once, and i think i like macd better hehe
lucky i have juz taken my lunch:D
Wendy’s, to me, is far superior to McD. I try to stay away from McD as much as possible!
But…….there are no more Wendy’s now in HK!
It’s a very popular fastfood chain over here. Their signature burger is the old fashion hamburgers(beef), it’s the best! I love their occasional promotion of the mushroom melts variations, that’s really good!
wow… all the good comments on Wendy. Too bad, it is not in Penang, else I’ll eat Wendy for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Wow, New outlet? I don’t think there is a Wendy’s outlet in Sarawak here!!
Anyways, Thanks for sharing! At least i know there is a fast food restaurant called Wendy’s.. Nice name!
I think I’ve eaten Wendy’s before long long time ago when I was very small. What happened to them and how come they are back now?
Their burgers are probably better than McD but I don’t think anyone make fries better than McD. I simply love McD fries but can’t eat too much as they are full of transfat!
Btw, which is your post that you said is mouth watering? Are you referring to the girls or to the food? : )
No Wendy’s over here…
the other one is at jaya 1. theres another one opening right beside my condo in mont kiara.
youve never seen baked potato before? which kampung are you from dude
The first Wendy’s restaurant in Malaysia was in the 80’s. The outlet was in Sg.Wang. That was during the fast food craze at that time. Sadly, Wendy’s didn’t last long locally due to unknown reasons, maybe couldn’t compete with McD, KFC and A&W during those days.
Now Berjaya is reviving the business here banking on the young generation of bloggers who lead a more affluent lifestyle and more knowledgeable. GenX nowadays interact differently.
Also, Berjaya is bringing Krispy Kreme into Malaysia as well.
Sorry, suppose to type GenY not GenX.
I love Wendy’s, much better than McD’s. Unfortunately I live in the UK and they closed down here about 10 years ago.
I’m travelling to KL in a couple of weeks, does anyone know if Wendy’s have any outlets in Central KL? Petalang Jaya seems a way to go just for a burger, but I’ve wanted one for over five years so will go there if I have to :0)
Wendy’s is NOT new. They did try to go into business backin the 80’s, so did other fast food outlets such as White Caslte.
I guess the people didn’t give them a chance. So I think now when they are back, they might just be able to compete.
Seems a majority of bolehland peoples’ mindset have just matured the USA 80’s era. Always 20 years behind.
Thanks for all the comments on Wendy’s fast food restaurant. Now I know there are 3 of them in Malaysia, namely in IOI Mall, Sunway Pyramid, and Jaya One. Oh, looks like all of them are located in PJ.
That was the first time I tried them, as with most things, when they are new, you feel they are fresh and good. So, for the time being, I think their burger and fries are quite good. At least it’s good for a change other than the usual McDonalds, KFC and Burger King… well, until your taste buds gets bored with Wendy’s then you can go back to the usuals.
I tried the IOI mall one not long after they open. But, I don’t like it at all. I am not sure if they have improve but they really gave me a bad impression. The ingredients of the burger is not properly arrange, the beef overcooked, the fries not cooked and the way all of them seem so disorganize while taking orders and preparing turns me off.
there is a new outlet in KL ! its along jln sultan ismail. next to stan chart bank building which is opposite wisma genting. also next to central plaza. u can take monorail n drop off at raja chulan station. its 1min walk thereafter.
i always buy dinner or lunch at Wendy Jaya One, not because their food is nice, is just because of their outlet near to my place..haha.
should say their Jaya One outlet is strategic !
but actually their beef burger is the best among other fast food store in Msia.
And one thing to comment, do u all feel that McD coke is suck ? especially the MidValley outlet opposite the cinema there, their coke is too sweet no coca-cola taste, plus abit tap water taste ! the taste is very weird ! if u didn’t feel it, just go and try it.
maybe is because of McD coke can refill, that why become like that.
emo,
Oh, that sounds like not good at all. Perhaps they are still new, give them some time to improve.
when dees,
All right, thanks a bunch for the info. I seldom drop by that area though.
L,
Yeap, strategic location is of vital importance to any business. I haven’t tried Wendy’s beef burger though.
No idea about the McD coke, perhaps other readers who frequent them can share their experience?
